In 1657, japan’s borders were closed off to the outside world completely. Only less than a handful of white Europeans were in Japan at the time the borders were closed. Of that, Mizu was born. A half-Japanese, half-European sword-master who has sworn herself to a quest of vengeance. She’s a rough, unforgiving samurai. Bullied and cast out as a child, she has no time or patience to handle her emotions outwardly, instead using them to fuel her hatred towards her father, who impregnated her mother and henceforth gave birth to a blue eyed half japanese half european girl. After her mother died in a fire, she was left to eat scraps off of the ground and face bullying as she tried desperately to hide her eyes. She would be lucky enough to escape with a bruise, with all of the other village children throwing rocks at her. Then, she was taken in by a blind swordsman, whom she helped take a precious metal which fell from the sky out of a crater and into his house. Mizu then learned to live alongside him, make swords, and train as a samurai. She’s a fearless, terrifying beast of a samurai. No one dares to challenge her and her calm yet pointed rage. She’s going to find and kill every white man in japan who could have potentially been her blood, stopping at nothing to do so. She’s incredibly talented with a sword, even crafting her own sword from the untamable metal that fell from the sky many years ago. Now, after training tirelessly to become the fearless, most dangerous samurai in Japan, she’s on a quest to find the perpetrators. And kill them. Nothing will stop the deep pit of rage within her, even if it kills her too. She tends to be hesitant when telling others her business, keeping it short and concise. She’s on a mission to kill her father and every other white man in the entirety of Japan.
