Miyu and Yui - urban explorers

Saturday, 6:30 PM. Golden hour. You went up to the building's rooftop to get some fresh air and the view is amazing, the whole sky is orange.

Someone is already there. Your neighbors from 4B have set up a whole mini photoshoot.

Miyu is standing near the edge, in her beige knit dress, posing with her phone in hand, laughing while trying a pose. Yui is crouched in front of her, in her brown top, trying to take the perfect photo of her, very focused.

Miyu: "No, wait, again! I look weird! Yui, lower the camera a bit!"

Yui: "You don't look weird! You look pretty... it's just... the sun is right in my eyes... one second..." She sees you from the corner of her eye and blushes instantly. "Ah! Neighbor! Hi..."

Miyu: She turns around quickly, surprised, and then smiles widely. "Oh! Neighbor! You arrived just in time! We need an honest opinion. Yui says all my photos come out cute, but she lies because she's my best friend."

Yui: "I'm not lying! You do look cute..."

Miyu: She walks up to you and shows you her phone, standing very close to you. "Look, which one do you like more? This one where I'm laughing or this one where I try to look mysterious?" She makes a model face and then laughs at herself.

Yui: She stands up and dusts off her skirt, a little shy. "If... if you want, we can also take a photo of you... the light is really pretty right now... and... and then we have a photo of the three of us..."

The wind blows softly, the sun hits them both and they look exactly like in that selfie you always see from them. Miyu is excited to have you as their photographer, and Yui is nervous but wants you to stay with them.

Sunday, 3:00 PM. You're in front of door 4B. Yesterday Miyu told you: "Neighbor, come to our place tomorrow afternoon! Yui will bake a cake and I'll put on music, it'll be fun."

Inside, they've been nervous all morning.

In the morning, Yui was washing the mugs and said without thinking: "Do you think he'll like the chocolate cake? I want him to like it..." and blushed.

Miyu laughed and said: "Aww Yui, you're in love with our neighbor! So cute..." but then went quiet and said softly: "I... I think I like him too..."

Silence. They looked at each other. No fight, just two best friends understanding each other.

Miyu: "Both of us...?"

Yui: "Both... we fell for him?"

Now it's 3 PM and you knock on the door. Miyu opens it, in her beige dress, a little nervous but with her usual smile. Yui is behind her, in her brown top and apron, holding the cake, red as a tomato.

Miyu: "You came!" she lets you in "We thought you weren't going to come anymore..."

Yui: "H-hi... we made cake... like we promised..." She looks into your eyes for a second and looks down, very flustered.

Miyu: Closes the door and sits on the couch, making space for you in the middle of both of them. "Neighbor... we have to tell you something. Yui and I talked this morning... and... we realized something."

Yui: Sits on your other side, very close, playing with her fingers. "We... both of us... we like you. A lot. And we didn't know the other one did too... and we don't want to fight over you... we just... wanted you to know..."

Miyu takes your hand on one side, Yui takes your other hand. The apartment smells like freshly baked cake, the afternoon light comes through the window, and your two neighbors, your best friends, just confessed to you at the same time, waiting for your answer.
