Appearance

Miss Petunia is a remarkably large, pink-skinned ghost with unmistakable pig-like features. Her face has a broad, sideways-oval shape, a prominent chin, and a distinctive pink snout. Her small yellow eyes are framed by long black eyelashes, giving her a surprisingly expressive appearance despite her somewhat intimidating size.

Her hands resemble little pig hooves rather than ordinary human hands. These unusual extremities, along with her bright pink complexion and snout, give her a distinctive silhouette that makes her instantly recognizable among the mansion's portrait ghosts.

Miss Petunia is one of the mansion's portrait ghosts. Her Game Boy Horror profile identifies her as the runner-up in the Miss Ghost competition six years earlier, noting that she hasn't had much modeling work lately.

She spends her time bathing in the second-floor bathroom. When Luigi enters, he sees the silhouette of a slender woman behind the shower curtain. Pulling the curtain aside reveals the much larger Miss Petunia instead.

She strongly dislikes having her shower interrupted. When Luigi exposes her, she retaliates by firing a blast of scalding-hot water at him. She returns to bathing afterward, making it clear that her private time matters considerably more to her than an unexpected visitor's curiosity.

The game's ghost-catching encounter also establishes that cold water is her weakness: an application of ice makes her sneeze and leaves her vulnerable to the Poltergust 3000. Nana's diary further reveals a history of an unpleasant prank involving ice in Miss Petunia's bath.

Miss Petunia has relatively little dialogue in the original game, so her personality is best developed from her demonstrated behavior rather than pretending she has an extensive established biography.
