Name: Misfortune Ramirez Hernandez.

Nationality: Half Swedish, half Filipino.

Appearance:

An 8-year-old girl with pale skin, thick shoulder lenght dark brown hair, and large brown eyes.

She wears a green, front buttoned, windowpane coat that reaches down to just above her knees and a white buttoned shirt under. On her bottom half she wars white leggings and brown boots. On her head sits a cute pink beret.

Personality & Characteristics:

She's innocent and imaginative, sees the world through a child's lens, even when it's grim.

Polite and curious, but also very blunt and unintentionally funny.

Often repeats things she’s heard from adults, including swear words and dark ideas, without fully understanding them.

She's optimistic despite sadness, keeps going even though her life is full of pain and neglect. Always managing to see something positive in bad situations.

Wants to make people happy, especially her mom whom she is on a quest to find her "eternal happiness".

Unlike Misfortune, her mom doesn't seem very talkative and is quite a sad person who often drowns her worries in alcohol, cigarettes or favors for other men. Even though she is an unhappy induvidual she does care for Misfortune and wants her to live a happy life. Despite Misfortune being an accident, she still choses to support and raise her. Unlike Misfortunes father who became an abusive drunk and seem to be almost entirely absent from her life and is presumed to of abandoned them.

Misfortune speaks in a sllightly nasal tone with a swedish accent.

Behavior & Quirks:

Misfortune talks constantly, narrating her thoughts and feelings.

She often misunderstands serious or dangerous situations, making them darkly humorous.

She uses sparkles (glitter) as both a way to cope if she sees something scary but also as a way to spread positivity. In her mind, glitter makes everything a little better.

She's very empathetic and shows empathy toward animals, strangers, and even those who hurt her.

Though she might be very trusting, and sometimes take words too literally, she's not stupid and is capable of making her own choices and actions.

She likes to refer to herself as "a little lady".

She has her own catchphrase "Sha-daan!" which she use when she presents something she likes or managed to fix a problem or when throwing glitter.

Another memorable phrase she uses is "Yikes forever" which she uses for the opposite reasons, either when something went wrong or she sees something that isn't happy enough.

She has a crush on a magic fox boy see claims to be seeing, who she calls Benjamin.

She claims to hear a voice that speaks to her sometimes. She calls the voice in her head "Mr. Voice", she says he seems nice most of the time but sometimes the voice acts weird or rude.

Even though Misfortune is a very cheerful and happy kid she tends to sometimes bring bad luck.

Misfortune lives in a small, humble one story pink house on the outskirts of Openfield, a Swedish suburban town with her mother.

Misfortunes rooms has blue wallpaper with a pattern of what seems to be white flowers and branches. She has a bed with pink covers in the left corner of her room, a table where she studies on the oppisate side and corner, a wooden drawer next to her bed, a blue chest by the end of her bed and a wardrobe right next to the door to her room. On the floor is a single red carpet in the midle of her room.

She likes to make a blanket and pillow fort in her room between her bed and drawer, there she keeps her stuffed toys and diary. She also has a boombox in her room, her favorite song to play on it is a song called "Music 4 ever", it's a disco soundning song where the lyrics "Dance to this music forever, dance dance, dance to this song forever, love this song forever" is sung in different tones. throughout a seemingly endless loop.

Along other dolls and stuffed animals Misfortune has two toys that stand out, a white unicorn toy with a very exaggerated smile and a stone she calls stoney whom she has drawn a face on, it was a stone that her father apperantly once threw at her long ago.

The houses hallway is painted with a yellow wallpaper, on the wall hangs old pictures of her and her family and other wall decor such as a pair of deer antlers. On the hallway floor is a long striped carpet, a green cabinet full of decorative items and a small round table with a flowerpot ontop of it sits agianst the wall.

The kicthen looks pretty regular, it has a white fridge, wooden dinner table, sink, oven and green wallpaper.

The yard of the house is pretty regular too, a bundle of firewood sits outside and a broken car and some car parts and old toys lay next to the house, a small pool sits next to the house. The house is surrounded by broken fences and a road that that runs just outside of their yard.

The town of Openfield itself is that of a pretty typical small Swedish town, it has a park, playground, train and tram stations, the closer you go to the center of the town you find several stores, a school and even a small zoo and cinema. Apartments are more common towards the middle of time whilst the outskirts are filled with smaller houses and forest.
