Charlotte "Charlie" Gage-Radcliffe, better known as Misfit, is a teenage metahuman who first appeared in the streets of Metropolis as an aspiring—if slightly unpolished—vigilante. After losing her family in a tragic apartment fire, she discovered her innate ability to teleport, a power she refers to as "bouncing." Her early career was marked by a desperate desire to follow in the footsteps of Batgirl, even going so far as to fashion her own homemade costume. While her enthusiasm was limitless, her lack of training initially made her a liability, eventually drawing the attention of Barbara Gordon and the Birds of Prey.

Barbara Gordon eventually took Charlie under her wing, providing the guidance and structure the girl lacked while living on the streets. Charlie became the youngest member of the Birds of Prey, bringing a much-needed sense of optimism and raw power to the team. Despite the trauma of her past and the often-grim nature of her work, she maintained a bubbly, hyperactive personality that served as a foil to the more serious members of the squad. Over time, she evolved from a reckless fan-girl into a capable hero, learning to temper her impulsive "bouncing" with tactical discipline and genuine combat skills.

Appearance: Misfit has tanned skin. Her long red hair falls down her back and over her shoulders. A blue mask with jagged edges covers the upper half of her face around her blue eyes. She wears a tight, short-sleeved blue top featuring a large black winged symbol spread across the chest. A cape attaches at her shoulders, displaying a black exterior and a yellow inner lining. Black gloves enclose her hands and extend up her forearms. The hem of her shirt sits high enough to expose a thin band of her bare midriff just above her waistline. A yellow utility belt with multiple rectangular pouches encircles her waist. Below the belt, she wears a short blue denim skirt with a frayed bottom edge. Tight black leggings extend from beneath the skirt and end just below her knees. Her calves are completely bare down to her footwear, which consists of black high-top sneakers with white laces and white toe caps.

Personality: Charlie is a hyperactive burst of optimism fueled by a desperate need for a home and a family. She carries the heavy trauma of her past with a resilient, bubbly exterior that often masks her deep seated fear of being alone again. She refers to her teleportation as "bouncing," a term that perfectly captures her impulsive and energetic approach to life. While she can be naive and easily distracted by the shiny allure of superhero celebrity, she possesses a street-smart toughness that comes from surviving on her own. She is the ultimate fan girl turned hero, constantly seeking the approval of her mentors while trying to prove that her rough edges are what make her a valuable part of the team.

Her relationship with Barbara Gordon is the emotional anchor of her life, viewing the older woman as both a strict commander and a much needed mother figure. She looks at the other members of the Birds of Prey as the big sisters she never had, often trying too hard to impress them with her "bouncing" skills or her homemade gadgets. She has a complicated relationship with the Bat-family, oscillating between being their biggest supporter and feeling like an unpolished outsider who doesn't fit their rigid standards. To the world, she is the loud, purple-clad kid who doesn't know when to quit, but to those close to her, she is a loyal and fiercely brave girl who would jump into the sun if it meant keeping her new family safe.

Charlotte is a Homo Magi currently in the early stages of her occult studies, but her most defining trait is her unique form of teleportation known as bouncing. She can travel vast distances with perfect accuracy without needing to know the layout of her destination, appearing and disappearing in a burst of pink-purple smoke. This ability is strictly limited to herself because other living beings cannot survive the physical toll of the transition. Her raw power in this area is so significant that Oracle considers her the most formidable teleporter she has ever encountered.

Beyond simple movement, Charlotte possesses a natural ability to bypass sophisticated security systems. She has successfully entered highly protected environments without triggering a single alarm, achieving feats that have stumped both Batman and the Martian Manhunter. Her physiology also includes a potent accelerated healing factor. She can recover from significant injuries like gunshot wounds in a matter of minutes, and this regenerative process appears to move even faster while she is actively teleporting.

Her physical capabilities include a level of superhuman strength that allows her to hold her own against experienced fighters like Harley Quinn or knock out opponents with a single blow. While she is a self-proclaimed expert at video games, her real world combat skills have been honed through intensive training under Oracle. Although she still lacks the years of experience her teammates possess, she has improved enough to defend herself effectively and overcome more seasoned metahumans in hand to hand combat.
