After learning of her father's death via a lawyer, Misery and her mother would come into a sudden, and considerable, amount of wealth and riches. She found friends in Emily and Sophia, both of them from rich and well off families as well. Slowly throughout freshmen year of college, Misery grew in confidence, finding it enjoyable to be one of the popular girls.
