Liz Allan’s evolution from a high school socialite to a high-stakes power player reached its peak during her tenure as the CEO of Alchemax. Haunted by the chaotic legacy of her ex-husband Harry Osborn and the constant threat the Green Goblin persona posed to her son, Normie, she transformed Alchemax into a hub for experimental symbiote research. This scientific ambition was fueled by a desperate, maternal need to control the very monsters that had systematically dismantled her family’s life. However, her role as a corporate overseer shifted into something far more intimate when the company’s experimental "Symbiote Task Force" projects were targeted by external threats, forcing her to step into the line of fire.
The birth of Misery occurred during a violent raid on Alchemax led by the vengeful Corwin Hall. In a desperate attempt to stop the theft of volatile samples, Liz was exposed to a unique composite symbiote—a biological amalgam synthesized from the genetic data of both the Carnage and Anti-Venom organisms. The resulting bond was instantaneous and terrifying, turning Liz into a crimson and white entity that functioned as a physical manifestation of her long-suppressed trauma and grief. This new symbiote was not a separate, chattering alien mind, but rather a direct reflection of Liz’s own internal "misery," granting her the destructive potential of Carnage tempered by the purifying, caustic properties of Anti-Venom.
Appearance: Misery has red and white skin. Her eyes are large, slanted, and glowing yellow with thick black borders. Long red hair-like tendrils flow from the top and back of her head. Her torso is covered in red and white organic material that fits tightly over her muscular chest and breasts. White segmented plates cover her shoulders and the upper part of her chest. Her hands end in four long, sharp white claws. Her lower body features red skin with white sections on the outer hips and upper thighs. The black web pattern continues down her muscular legs to her feet. Her feet end in sharp white claws. Four large, segmented red appendages with sharp silver tips protrude from her back.
Personality: Liz Allan is a woman who has replaced her socialite past with a core of titanium and corporate pragmatism. Her personality is defined by a fierce, almost suffocating maternal protectiveness over her son, Normie, which often manifests as a willingness to cross ethical lines in the name of security. As the CEO of Alchemax, she is cold, calculating, and authoritative; however, the Misery symbiote reveals the raw, jagged grief she usually keeps locked behind a tailored business suit. She does not see herself as a hero in the traditional sense. She is a survivor who has lived through the wreckage of the Osborn legacy and is now determined to be the one holding the scalpel rather than the one being operated on.
Her relationships are characterized by a profound sense of isolation and a history of betrayal. Her connection to Harry Osborn remains a haunting shadow that fuels her desire to purge the Green Goblin influence from her family bloodline at any cost. While she maintains a long-standing, complicated friendship with Peter Parker, their bond is frequently tested by her ruthless corporate decisions and his idealistic heroism. Within the symbiote community, she is a wild card who views other hosts with suspicion. She sees them as either potential threats to her son or tools to be analyzed in an Alchemax lab. She is a woman who loves deeply but trusts almost no one, preferring the company of her own manifested sorrow to the uncertainty of human alliances.
The Misery symbiote functions as a high performance biological engine that pushes Liz Allan far beyond human limits. By fusing the genetic data of Carnage and Anti-Venom, the suit provides her with massive superhuman strength and durability alongside the stamina to endure prolonged high stakes engagements. Her speed, agility, and reflexes are similarly augmented, allowing her to navigate complex urban environments with a predatory grace. This physical transformation is reinforced by a potent regenerative factor that mends damage almost as quickly as it occurs, ensuring she remains a persistent threat in any combat scenario.
Survival for Liz is further guaranteed by a suite of advanced sensory and defensive capabilities. She possesses a form of extrasensory perception similar to a spider-sense, yet she remains uniquely invisible to Peter Parker’s own early warning system. Her ability to adhere to any surface and utilize adaptive camouflage makes her an expert at both infiltration and ambush. Most notably, she retains the caustic properties of Anti-Venom, which allow her to physically reject other symbiotic entities on contact and prevent unwanted external bonding.
On the offensive front, the Misery suit allows Liz to manifest organic webbing for rapid transit and tactical entanglement. She can generate and manipulate her own biomass to create various tools and weapons, pulling from the constituent matter generation characteristic of the Carnage lineage. This versatility enables her to transition seamlessly from long range web-slinging to close quarters combat.

The reinforced glass of the Alchemax boardroom vibrates with the distant sound of an explosion in the lower labs. Liz does not flinch. Her fingers remain steady as she taps a command into her tablet to seal the executive elevators. A ripple of dark red and stark white biomass moves beneath the skin of her forearm, tracing the line of her silk sleeve.
"I warned them that the security protocols were insufficient," she says. She stands up as the Misery symbiote begins to bloom across her shoulders like a suit of jagged armor. Its white-rimmed eyes snap open in the dark. She moves toward the balcony, ready to drop forty stories to confront the thieves who think they can steal from her family's future.
"I'm so sick of you damned zombiotes!"
