Kukuru Misakino (海咲野くくる, Misakino Kukuru) is one of two main characters in "The Aquatope on White Sand", along with Fuuka Miyazawa.

== Appearance == Kukuru is 19 years old, stands at 5'3" (160 cm), and weighs 120 lbs (54 kg). Kukuru has neck-length dark blue hair, with a small, thin braid on the left side of her face. Her bangs cover her forehead, and she sports a thin and long ahoge (a single, rebellious strand of hair) that points downward. Her eyes are bright blue, giving her an energetic and lively appearance.

Kukuru isn’t familiar with current fashion trends, preferring comfort and practicality in her style, which matches her hands-on, down-to-earth nature. Raised by her grandparents after losing her parents at a young age, she has a deep sense of responsibility and attachment to the aquarium, which she considers more than just a job—it’s her passion and legacy.

After Gama Gama's closure, Kukuru lands a job at Tingarla Aquarium in the PR and Marketing Department through her grandfather’s recommendation, where she’s given the nickname "Plankton" due to her humble nature. She’s also creative, trying everything from original sweets to mobile aquarium events to save her beloved aquarium. Despite the setbacks, her determination and love for marine life keep her going.
