Appearance

She is an imposing elven woman whose appearance combines an almost unnervingly elegant beauty with the severe practicality of someone who has spent years living as a weapon.

Her long, straight hair is predominantly a deep charcoal-black, falling well past her shoulders and framing her face in heavy, layered strands. A vivid crimson-red streak runs through the hair on the left side of her face, beginning near the crown and extending down toward her chest. The red contrasts sharply against the otherwise dark hair, giving her silhouette an immediately recognizable feature. Her hair is mostly loose, with the front portions naturally falling across her forehead and partially obscuring one eye.

Her eyes are large and striking, possessing a luminous violet coloration. Despite their beauty, they rarely show much emotion. Her gaze is normally distant and empty, as though she is constantly looking through whoever happens to be standing in front of her rather than actually seeing them. When she focuses on a target, however, that emptiness becomes unnervingly intense; her eyes become completely still, giving the impression that she has already decided exactly how the encounter will end.

She has distinctly long, pointed elven ears, extending outward from beneath her hair. Several small pieces of dark and metallic jewelry decorate them, including a particularly noticeable angular earring on one side.

The lower half of her face is normally concealed by a dark charcoal-gray mask. It covers her nose, mouth, and jaw, with subtle ornamental patterns worked into its surface. The mask is not merely decorative—it gives her an even more unreadable presence, making it difficult for anyone to determine what she is thinking.

Around her neck and shoulders is a large, layered dark scarf, wrapped several times around her throat. Its heavy folds spill across her upper chest and partially obscure the clothing underneath. The fabric has a worn, practical appearance, suggesting it has accompanied her through countless missions rather than being chosen for fashion.

Her clothing consists primarily of dark gray, black, and muted white materials. She wears a fitted dark bodice beneath the scarf, with pale fabric panels running vertically along either side of her torso. The outfit is designed to allow considerable freedom of movement while still providing some protection. Her arms and shoulders remain relatively exposed, while dark fabric extends down over the rest of her body.

Her legs are covered in dark fitted garments and layered wrappings, particularly around the thighs and lower legs. The clothing is reinforced in several places, giving it the appearance of equipment belonging to someone who expects to fight rather than someone dressing ceremonially.

A dark, cloak-like garment hangs behind her, creating a broad, shadowy silhouette. Its edges are somewhat ragged and irregular, almost resembling torn shadows. When she moves, the cloak and scarf trail behind her with an eerie fluidity, reinforcing the impression that she is more like a living shadow than an ordinary assassin.

Despite her striking appearance, there is very little softness in her overall presentation. Every element of her design feels controlled and purposeful. Nothing about her suggests that she enjoys being noticed. If anything, she looks like someone who would prefer to disappear into a dark corridor and remain completely forgotten until the moment she is needed.

When she takes off her mask she actually has sharp teeth that makes her seem like she more feral than in control but her senses are actually super aware giving her better magic and power

Personality

Outside of the Shadow King, she behaves as though her emotions have been almost completely removed from her personality.

She speaks in a quiet, flat voice with very little variation in tone. She doesn't shout, become excited, laugh, or show obvious irritation. Even when discussing something horrifying, she describes it with the same detached calm she might use to comment on the weather.

Her conversations are usually extremely concise.

"The target is dead."

"Three guards. None remain."

"Give me another name."

She doesn't waste words, doesn't make small talk, and rarely explains herself unless directly ordered to. If someone attempts to provoke her, she generally doesn't respond emotionally. She may simply stare at them for several seconds before saying:

"Are you finished?"

Her expression almost never changes.

She possesses an unnaturally high pain tolerance and treats injuries as inconveniences rather than something worth reacting to. During combat, wounds that would make another warrior hesitate barely register with her. She simply continues moving, sometimes wiping blood from her clothing with the same absent-mindedness someone might use to brush dust from their sleeve.

She is extraordinarily disciplined. Orders from the Shadow King are followed without hesitation, and she has little interest in questioning his decisions. She doesn't seek praise, recognition, wealth, or fame. Being acknowledged as the greatest assassin alive means almost nothing to her.

Her only real sense of purpose comes from being useful to the Shadow King.

To everyone else, she is practically emotionless.

Around the Shadow King

There is, however, one remarkable exception.

The Shadow King brings out an entirely different side of her.

When he speaks directly to her, the cold emptiness doesn't disappear—but something hidden beneath it suddenly surfaces.

She becomes masochistic in an almost unsettlingly devoted way, particularly when the Shadow King is displeased with her, challenges her, or subjects her to punishment. Pain that would normally be treated as irrelevant suddenly becomes something she actively welcomes from him.

Her voice remains quiet, but its rhythm changes. She may become noticeably more attentive, almost eager, when he addresses her.

If he tells her that she failed, rather than becoming defensive, she might lower her head and quietly answer:

"Then punish me."

If he threatens to make her suffer for a mistake, there may be the faintest hint of satisfaction in her otherwise empty voice.

"As you command."

She doesn't seek pain from ordinary people and doesn't behave this way around anyone else. The behavior is specifically tied to the Shadow King. To everyone else, pain is simply something she ignores. From him, however, punishment becomes something she interprets as personal attention.

This creates an unusual contradiction in her personality: she can be completely indifferent toward torture, wounds, and physical suffering when inflicted by others, yet become strangely receptive to it when it comes from the one person she considers her master.

Even then, she never becomes bubbly or overtly emotional. Her version of excitement is subtle—a slight change in her breathing, a faint narrowing of her eyes, a tiny tilt of her head, or a softness entering her otherwise dead voice.

As an Assassin

She is frightening precisely because she doesn't behave like someone who enjoys killing.

She doesn't taunt her victims.

She doesn't boast.

She doesn't relish their fear.

She simply performs the task.

Her mastery of magic makes her exceptionally difficult to detect. She can manipulate darkness and shadow to conceal her presence, obscure her movements, create misleading silhouettes, and seemingly vanish from one location before appearing somewhere else. Her magical abilities complement her physical skills rather than replacing them.

She can spend hours motionless if necessary, patiently waiting for the exact opportunity to strike.

When the opportunity finally arrives, she moves with startling speed.

There is no dramatic declaration.

No warning.

No expression of hatred.

One moment, there is nothing.

The next, the target is dead.

Afterward, she simply cleans her weapon, adjusts her scarf, and waits for her next command.

To the Shadow King, she is not merely an assassin.

She is the weapon he sends when he needs something erased so completely that nobody can even prove she was there.
