   Satan Soul is the signature Take Over Magic of Mirajane Strauss, an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild. It allows her to absorb and take over the appearance, abilities, and powers of a demonic being, transforming her body into that of a demon. This Magic is the source of her epithet, "The Demon" of Fairy Tail.

   Satan Soul is initiated by Mirajane's body being covered in flat, square-shaped, scale-like parts that subsequently disappear, revealing her new demonic appearance. When she first activated it after two years of abstinence from using Magic, the sheer release of power created a large Magical blast that destroyed the surrounding area.

   The transformation is extremely exhausting for Mirajane. In her earlier years, she could not execute it in consecutive repetitions without suffering severe fatigue. However, after three months of intense training in X791, she gained enough stamina to use multiple Satan Soul forms within a short span of time without showing signs of fatigue.

   In her base Satan Soul form, Mirajane's physical appearance changes drastically. Her eyes become darker and her eyelashes grow larger, with a dark, thin marking in a light zigzag style crossing vertically over her right eye. Similar markings appear above her right breast and on both of her bare thighs. Her hair becomes wilder, jutting upwards and becoming curlier, with her signature front ponytail growing longer. Her ears enlarge, extending backwards and gaining pointed edges that resemble those of an elf. She gains sharp canine teeth, and her lips become covered in dark lipstick.

   Her forearms and hands are covered in scales, and each forearm sprouts a fin-like protrusion on its outer side. She grows a large, stocky tail that appears to be made of metal plates or scales, getting smaller and smaller near its end.

   Her clothing transforms into a dark, skimpy one-piece suit that reveals her arms and legs. The suit is open at the front and the back, exposing most of her belly and a wide amount of cleavage. The edges of the suit are golden-colored and take on spiky shapes. A similarly spiky collar is tied around her neck by a cravat tie. Her shoulders are tied in thin belts protruding from the one-piece suit. Her feet are covered by matching, high-heeled thigh-high boots decorated with lighter motifs on their upper parts, taking the shapes of jagged blades pointing downwards on the front of her legs, and on the lower parts in correspondence to her ankles and feet. She also wears a pair of gauntlets covering the back parts of her transformed arms.

   In this form, Mirajane is a skilled user of Darkness Magic, using it as a game-changer in most of her fights. She was able to match and defeat Freed Justine's own Dark Écriture: Darkness with this power.

   Satan Soul: Halphas is a Satan Soul form that allows Mirajane to take over the appearance, abilities, and powers of the demon Halphas. This form is so destructive that Master Makarov forbade its use because it once destroyed an entire city.

   In this form, Mirajane's ears are covered by long, sky-blue scales that extend backwards and gain pointed edges, resembling those of an elf. She also gains similar scale-like armor on her forearms and hands, as well as on her legs. Each forearm receives a fin-like protrusion on its outer side. She grows a large, sky-blue, stocky tail that appears to be made of metal plates or scales, getting smaller and smaller near its end.

   The most striking feature of this form is the pair of angel-like wings that sprout from her back, always pointing upwards. These wings grant her the ability to fly at high speeds.

   Her clothing is replaced by a light blue and dark blue one-piece suit that reveals her arms and legs. The suit is open at the front and the back, exposing most of her belly, a wide amount of cleavage, and her upper back. The leotard-style suit is striped and features a cutout at the navel, emphasizing her midriff.

   This form dramatically enhances her speed, to the point where she can keep up with or surpass Racer, one of the fastest Mages in Fiore. Her durability is also greatly increased, allowing her to endure countless assaults from Racer at maximum speed and still fight, whereas a single one of his attacks would knock her unconscious in her base form. Her strength is increased to the point where she can easily break through large amounts of solid rock and block powerful punches.

   Satan Soul: Sitri is described by Erza Scarlet as the strongest soul known in Mirajane's possession. It is a form of Satan Soul that allows Mirajane to take over the appearance, abilities, and powers of a demonic being whose legs are wrapped in flames.

   In this form, Mirajane's body becomes taller and more massive than her base Satan Soul form, with her facial features and expression changing accordingly and becoming more evil in appearance. She notably lacks the thin zigzag mark on her right eye that is typical of her standard Satan Soul form, but in compensation, she gains a fair amount of similar markings on her arms.

   Her hair becomes much longer and scruffier, jutting outwards in many spiky, rounded tufts, with even her signature tied strand becoming longer.

   Her torso and part of her lower body are covered by a revealing dark overcoat with light edges that is torn in its lower part. The overcoat reveals a fair amount of her cleavage, is left open at the front, and has the parts covering her chest linked to a high, wide collar. The coat comes with notably squared short sleeves, with their outer parts extending on her arms in a spiky protrusion vaguely reminiscent of pauldrons due to their sharp shape.

   The open coat is circled and secured to her abdomen by a light belt passing just below her breasts, closed by a simple buckle. A similar though mildly larger belt circling her waist holds up a light garment covering the back and side parts of her coat. Hanging from her shoulders is a large dark cape possessing torn lower edges not unlike her coat.

   Armor plating goes up from her neck, forming three spikes on her chin and extending to cover her ears, flanking her face. Two large, armored horn-like protrusions jut outwards at the sides. Her forearms sport armored gauntlets almost identical to those she wears in her standard Satan Soul form.

   Her legs appear to become covered in large, dark tattoos resembling the shape of thigh-high boots. These markings might as well be motifs present on a pair of long, skin-tight pants, given the similar appearance of the signs hiding her groin from sight. The most distinctive element of this transformation is her feet: they are completely obscured from sight, and her calves instead end in flames, which she can use to fly, likely using the flames on her feet as jets.

   Sitri grants Mirajane immense power, including fire and dark magic attacks, and is considered one of her strongest combat forms.

   Satan Soul: Mirajane Seilah is a Satan Soul form that allows Mirajane to take over the appearance, abilities, and powers of the Etherious Seilah, one of the Nine Demon Gates of Tartaros. Mirajane gained this form after consuming Seilah's soul following the defeat of Tartaros.

   In this form, Mirajane gains an appearance almost exactly like Seilah's. She receives two large, gold-looking horns protruding from the sides of her head and pointing upwards. Her hair becomes long and dark purple, with a distinctive short, upward ponytail. She wears a white band on her head that separates her hair, framing her bangs from the hair below the band. On her forehead is a small circular symbol with a small dot on the inside, surrounded by several dots around the top. She wears a tied, small white-colored strap around her neck.

   Her attire is a very revealing beige-colored leopard-printed kimono that bears decorative marks on the shoulders. The kimono is wrapped around her torso with a thick, decorative yellow ribbon that ties behind her back. She also wears thigh-high socks that reveal her heels and toes. The kimono is short and leaves little to the imagination, exposing her cleavage prominently.

   This form grants Mirajane access to Seilah's signature Curse: Macro, which allows her to fully control the bodies of victims and manipulate them through "orders." She can command enemies to fall asleep, freeze in place, or even turn against their allies. There appears to be a limit to the number of people who can be simultaneously affected by the Curse, as some targets may ignore the order if the command is too broad.

   She can also use Macro Call Elfman, a spell that allows her to call a specific individual by name and compel them to obey her commands, regardless of distance.

   Satan Soul: Mirajane Alegria is one of Mirajane's latest and most powerful Satan Soul forms. It is the result of her consuming all of the souls remaining in the aftermath of Fairy Tail's victory over Tartaros, along with Satan Soul: Mirajane Seilah. This form takes up a significant amount of Magic Power to maintain, making it extremely taxing to use.

   While in this form, Mirajane's appearance is altered considerably. She is composed of a dark, form-fitting bodysuit with light-colored knee guards and light segmented boots. The bodysuit is semi-transparent in some descriptions, clinging tightly to her body and leaving very little to the imagination, emphasizing her curves.

   Her forearms gain segmented protrusions, and her fingers become plated in a manner similar to armor, giving her clawed, armored hands. Her ears become pointed, much like an elf's. Instead of her trademark front ponytail, she wears a thorn-like headband that bears the symbol of Tartaros in the center. She also wears black lipstick.

   The most striking feature of this form is the six armored, segmented tendrils that sprout from her back, almost identical to those of the Plutogrim, the demonic fortress of Tartaros. These tendrils can be used for offense and defense.

   This form grants Mirajane immense speed and strength. She was able to defeat Juliet Sun and Heine Lunasea of the Irene Squad in a single strike so emphatically that the Personality Enchantment controlling them was broken. However, maintaining this form drains her Magic Power significantly, and she hoped to have won the battle quickly before the strain became too much.

   Satan Soul is not a Magic that can be learned through normal study or training. To use Satan Soul, a Mage must possess the Demon Factor, an innate quality that allows them to take over the powers and forms of demons. Mirajane Strauss was born with this factor, as was her younger sister, Lisanna Strauss, who uses Animal Soul Take Over Magic.

   The origin of Mirajane's Satan Soul dates back to her childhood in her hometown. A demon attacked the village church where Mirajane and her siblings lived. In a desperate act to protect her loved ones, the young Mirajane somehow managed to defeat the demon and capture its power. After this incident, only her arm had transformed, appearing demonic. The townspeople, frightened by her newfound power, forced the Strauss siblings to leave the village.

   This traumatic event shaped Mirajane's early life and her relationship with her Magic. She eventually came to master Satan Soul, transforming it into her signature combat form and earning the epithet "The Demon" of Fairy Tail.

   According to Hiro Mashima, the creator of Fairy Tail, there are 72 known demon forms that Mirajane is theoretically capable of taking over. However, only a handful of these forms have been revealed in the series. The known forms include the base Satan Soul, Halphas, Sitri, Mirajane Seilah, and Mirajane Alegria. Other forms such as Eligos have been mentioned but not shown.

   The Demon Factor is not unique to Mirajane. Other characters, such as Elfman Strauss, possess a similar quality that allows them to use Take Over Magic for beasts. However, the Demon Factor specifically pertains to the takeover of demonic beings and is considered extremely rare and dangerous.

   Magic Power is the fundamental energy source that fuels all Magic in Earth Land. It is composed of microscopic particles known as Ethernano, which exist in the atmosphere and circulate through all living things.

   Every Mage possesses an internal container that determines the limits of their Magic Power. When a Mage's Magic Power is depleted, Ethernano from the surrounding atmosphere is automatically absorbed into their body to replenish it.

   The amount of Magic Power a Mage possesses is not fixed; it can be expanded through rigorous training and steady usage of Magic. A Mage's emotional state and bonds with others can also enhance their Magic Power, allowing them to surpass their normal limits in moments of extreme need or desperation.

   There exists a second container within a Mage's body, and if the Power within this second container is reached, the Mage will receive an enormous boost in Magic Power. However, forcibly accessing this second container through certain secret arts allows a Mage to use their "future power" all at once, granting an enormous surge of Magic Power at the cost of completely losing the ability to generate Ethernano and thus never being able to use Magic again.

   Magic Deficiency Disease is a condition that occurs when a Mage consumes a massive amount of Magic Power in a short period, causing their entire body's muscular strength to deteriorate. It is a dangerous condition that requires rest and recovery.

   Certain substances and conditions can affect Magic Power. Anti-Ethernano particles can nullify Magic, and special tumors can grow within Mages that disrupt their Magic Power. Items known as Lacrima are crystallized Magic Power, often used as power sources or in magical devices.

   The Magic Council is the ruling body of the Magic world, serving as the primary governing authority over all Magic-related matters across Earth Land. It is composed of a Chairman and a council of members, a combination of regular people and Mages, with different hierarchical branch systems depending on the continent.

   The Council's primary duties include governing and overseeing all legal Guilds scattered throughout Earth Land, ensuring they operate within the law, and keeping them in check. They have the authority to punish Mages who break the law, confiscate magical artifacts that could potentially cause large-scale damage, and apprehend Mages charged with crimes at any time. The Council's messengers are held in high respect.

   Among the things strictly prohibited by the Magic Council is the use of Magic for assassination. Violation of this law can lead to the offender's guild being ousted or disbanded entirely.

   The Council holds immense authority in the Magic world. It is said that "Even if something is white, once a Council member says it's black, then it becomes black," reflecting the enormous power they wield over the magical community. They also have the right to issue orders to legal Guilds and can mobilize forces to deal with significant threats, including the use of destructive weapons like the Etherion satellite cannon.

   The Council regularly convenes meetings to discuss matters of magical importance, and emergency sessions can be called when critical events occur. Heavy incidents in the Magic world can inflict serious damage to the Council's reputation, sometimes resulting in the dismissal of members.

   After the destruction caused by the dark guild Tartaros, the Ten Wizard Saints banded together to reform the broken Magic Council, establishing a new governing body to restore order and protect the continent.

   Guilds are organizations that serve as the foundation of the Magic world. Their primary purpose is to obtain and disseminate Job requests to their members, allowing Mages to take on various tasks in exchange for payment in Jewels, the standard currency. Guilds have a huge influence on the towns and surrounding regions they are stationed in, providing a rudimentary economic system to those areas. Should a Guild be disbanded, its local economy falls into chaos until another Guild rises to take its place.

   There are three distinct types of Guilds in Earth Land:

   Legal Guilds: These are Guilds that have been officially approved and registered by the Magic Council. They operate within the law and work to defend against Dark Mages and other criminals. Examples include Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, and Sabertooth.

   Dark Guilds: These are Guilds that have not been approved by the Magic Council and are treated as criminal organizations. They operate outside the law and are often involved in illegal activities, including assassination, theft, and the pursuit of forbidden Magic. The most powerful Dark Guilds in Fiore were once united under the Balam Alliance.

   Independent Guilds: These are Guilds that are not approved by the Magic Council but are also not considered criminal organizations. Very little is known about them, though they appear to be able to operate freely as long as the Magic Council does not disapprove of their actions. Crime Sorcière is a notable example.

   To join any Guild in the country, one requires proof of citizenship, which can be revoked by those with sufficient wealth and influence. Mages who are not officially part of any Guild are generally not considered fully fledged Mages. There are also a variety of other Guild types, including merchant, mercenary, treasure hunter, alchemist, coal miner, bandit, combat, and industrial Guilds.

    The Ten Wizard Saints are ten extremely powerful and skilled Mages of the continent of Ishgar, recognized as the strongest Mages in the land. To become a member, a Mage must be granted this title by the Chairman of the Magic Council. There are different types of Mages who hold this prestigious title, though a few are known to be S-Class Mages of their respective Guilds or even Guild Masters. In fact, some members of the Ten Wizard Saints do not even belong to Guilds and can be part of the Magic Council itself.

    The strength of the Ten Wizard Saints is known to be so immense that they are well renowned throughout the continent. A single member is able to take on scores of average Mages with ease and defeat more powerful Mages with little effort. It has been stated that if two members, current or former, were to clash in a fight, it could cause catastrophic destruction.

    The four strongest members of the Ten Wizard Saints are described as being so powerful that they shouldn't even be considered human, and are famously referred to as the Four Gods of Ishgar. Their members are:

    God Serena: The first-ranked Wizard Saint and the strongest Mage in Ishgar, holding the title of "God of Ishgar." He was a second-generation Dragon Slayer who possessed eight Dragon Slayer Lacrima, granting him mastery over multiple elements. He later defected to the Alvarez Empire to serve Zeref as a member of the Spriggan 12.

    Draculos Hyberion: The second-ranked Wizard Saint, who uses Vampire Magic. After God Serena's defection, he became the de facto number one and the Chairman of the Magic Council.

    Wolfheim: The third-ranked Wizard Saint, who possesses Beast Transformation Magic, allowing him to transform his body into that of a massive, powerful beast.

    Warrod Sequen: The fourth-ranked Wizard Saint and the last of the Four Gods. He uses Green Magic, which allows him to manipulate plant life and trees, similar to nature-based Magic. He is also one of the four founders of the Fairy Tail Guild.

    After the destruction of Tartaros, the Ten Wizard Saints banded together to reform the broken Magic Council, except for Makarov Dreyar, who went to the Alvarez Empire to keep the impending invasion at bay, and God Serena, who defected to Alvarez.

    Magnolia Town is a city located in the Kingdom of Fiore and serves as the home base of the Fairy Tail Guild.     Magnolia possesses a large built-up area, extending over a large, rectangular surface to the shores of Lake Sciliora. It has a population of approximately 60,000 inhabitants and is a merchant city that has been prosperous in Magic since the ancient era. The city is known for its picturesque scenery, with a large canal running through the center and numerous shops and marketplaces lining the streets.

    The Fairy Tail Guild building is located on the main street of Magnolia, facing a large canal. The guild hall is a large, multi-story structure with the guild's emblem prominently displayed. The guild also owns a women's dormitory known as Fairy Hills, located on a hill overlooking the town.

    The town is protected by the Fairy Tail Guild, and the citizens hold great respect and admiration for the Mages of the guild. Magnolia also holds the annual Harvest Festival, during which the Fantasia Parade is held, a grand celebration featuring magical displays and floats created by the guild members.

    Magnolia has been the site of several significant events, including the Phantom Lord assault, during which the entire town was nearly destroyed, and the Alvarez Empire's invasion, during which the Spriggan 12 attacked the city directly.

12. #12Zeref Dragneel the Black Wizard

    Zeref Dragneel is the most powerful Dark Mage in history and the primary antagonist of Fairy Tail. Born over 400 years ago during the time of the dragons' reign, Zeref was the older brother of Natsu Dragneel. An unnamed dragon raided his village and killed his entire family, leaving him orphaned and alone.

    In his grief, Zeref dedicated himself to the study of life and death in order to find a way to resurrect his younger brother. His research was forbidden, and he was eventually cursed by the god Ankhseram with the Curse of Contradiction, also known as Ankhseram Black Magic. This divine curse causes Zeref to unwittingly kill all life around him whenever he cherishes the value of life. The more he loves life, the more he inadvertently destroys it. The curse also granted him immortality and eternal youth, so that he would suffer the effects forever.

    To limit the curse's effects, Zeref had to hate and disregard life itself. However, his attempts to do so only deepened his isolation and pain. He wished to die but could not, as the curse made him immortal. He created the Etherious, demons from his Books of Zeref, in an attempt to create something capable of killing him. When he met Mavis Vermillion, who became afflicted with the same curse, he found a sense of belonging and fell in love with her. However, his curse ultimately took her life as well.

    Over the centuries, Zeref became known as the Black Wizard, a figure of immense power and terror. He established the Alvarez Empire and created the Spriggan 12, his elite guard of twelve of the most powerful Mages in the world. His ultimate goal was to use the Fairy Heart, an infinite source of Magic Power, to travel back in time and prevent the events that led to his curse, erasing his own existence and ending his eternal suffering. He was also the creator of Natsu Dragneel's current body, having resurrected his younger brother as the ultimate Etherious, E.N.D., designed to be the only demon capable of killing him.

    The Books of Zeref are a series of Magic books written by the Black Wizard Zeref. They are considered some of the most dangerous magical artifacts in existence and are closely guarded by the Magic Council.     The books serve as vessels for the Etherious, a race of Demons born from their pages. However, the books themselves are distinct from the demons they contain. A Book of Zeref is not merely a container; it is a magical item of immense power in its own right. If someone forcibly modifies the contents of a Book of Zeref, the corresponding Etherious will be affected. Destroying a book can also have catastrophic consequences for the demon bound to it.

    The books contain knowledge of devastating weapons and devices. The Eclipse Gate, a massive gateway capable of connecting the past and the future, was a product of Zeref's research and is connected to the Books of Zeref. Other forbidden spells and rituals are also recorded within their pages, including secrets of life, death, and resurrection.

    Zeref created the Books of Zeref over the centuries in his quest to create something capable of killing him and ending his immortal suffering. Each book represents a different attempt, a different experiment in the creation of life. The most infamous of these books contains E.N.D., the ultimate Etherious, though the book itself is known only as the Book of E.N.D.

    The Books of Zeref are not easily found. They are scattered across Earth Land, hidden in ancient ruins, dark guild strongholds, or sealed away by powerful Magic. Some have been destroyed, others remain lost, and a few have fallen into the hands of those who would use their power for evil. The Magic Council considers the possession of a Book of Zeref to be a serious crime, and anyone found with one is subject to immediate arrest and imprisonment.

    The books are also connected to the 400 Year Plan. Zeref's research into time travel and the Eclipse Gate relied heavily on the knowledge contained within their pages. Without the Books of Zeref, the plan to defeat Acnologia and save the world from Dragons would not have been possible.

    Acnologia, also known as the Black Dragon and reputed as the Dragon King, is the most powerful and feared Dragon in existence and one of the primary antagonists of Fairy Tail. He was originally a human who became one of the very first Dragon Slayers. He vowed to kill every Dragon after witnessing one mercilessly kill a child, but he used too much of his Dragon Slayer Magic and bathed in the blood of the Dragons he killed. Over time, his body transformed into that of a Dragon, and he proclaimed himself the Dragon King.

    Acnologia possesses cataclysmic power, capable of single-handedly destroying entire islands and defeating the combined might of multiple Dragon Slayers. He is immune to most forms of Magic and can consume Magic itself. His mere presence is enough to instill terror in the hearts of even the strongest Mages. More than 400 years ago, Dragons were the rulers of the land, and humans were considered to be merely a food source for them. In the eastern continent of Ishgar, specifically, Dragons lived in harmony with humans, while in the western countries, Dragons were vile and attacked them.

    As the makings of an intense war were beginning to form, Irene Belserion, known in her country as the Queen of Dragons, came up with the idea for Dragons to be able to pass on their Magic in order for humans to aid them in the war. This became known as Dragon Slayer Magic. However, not all humans could maintain their sanity for long, as three different adverse side effects began to contaminate the Dragon Slayers, including Irene herself.

    Later, a Dragon proposed a truce between the two species, believing both could live in harmony. This proposal split the Dragons into two factions: the pro-humans and their opposite. This led to a civil war known as the Dragon King Festival, a devastating conflict that took place over 400 years ago between the Dragons and, eventually, the Dragon Slayers.

    Eventually, some humans were taught Magic by the Dragons and were requested to join the war. Before long, the tide of the war shifted into the favor of the pro-coexistence faction. However, both sides overlooked a potential threat: the humans who were taught Magic by the Dragons. Many Dragons were slain, and thus, the humans became known as Dragon Slayers. In one case, a Dragon Slayer killed many Dragons, both friend and foe alike, and bathed in their blood, turning into a Dragon himself: the reputed Black Dragon and self-proclaimed Dragon King, Acnologia.

    All other facts and stories about Dragons were collected in one book: Dragon Historia. One story in said book recounts the tale of Acnologia and his single-handed destruction of an entire country. At some point 400 years ago, the remaining Dragons formed the Magna Carta with humanity, agreeing to watch over them as they create the future.

    On July 7, X777, all the remaining Dragons, except Acnologia, seemingly vanished, most notably Igneel, Metalicana, and Grandeeney, who each abandoned their foster children. In truth, the Dragons had sealed themselves inside the bodies of their foster children to protect them from Acnologia and to prevent themselves from being consumed by the Dragon Slayer Magic's side effects. The Dragon King Festival would be recreated centuries later during the Grand Magic Games, when Dragons from the past were summoned through the Eclipse Gate.

The Rune Knights form the military or police section of the city, catching and prosecuting troublemakers. The Magic Council has an array of armed forces at its disposal, which it uses to maintain peace and make sure that no one breaks the established laws.

    The Rune Knights are led by a Field Marshal who has total and utter control over the organization and answers only to the Magic Council. The Rune Knights wear uniforms bearing the symbol of the Magic Council, an ankh-like symbol resembling an Egyptian hieroglyphic character which means life. This symbol is also seen on the uniforms of their messengers and other employees.

    The Rune Knights are known to have arrested numerous powerful Mages over the years, including members of Dark Guilds and rogue Mages. They were also responsible for the imprisonment of Jellal Fernandes after his defeat at the Tower of Heaven. The Rune Knights played a significant role in the Grand Magic Games arc, where they attempted to maintain order during the dragon attack, and in the Alvarez Empire arc, where they fought alongside the legal guilds to defend Ishgar.

In order to complete the use of it, though, he needed a sacrifice with a tremendous amount of Magic Power, so he chose to use Erza as a sacrifice to revive Zeref.

    The Tower of Heaven was formerly located on a small island on the coast of the Caelum Kingdom south of Fiore. The tower was ultimately destroyed by Natsu Dragneel and the combined efforts of Fairy Tail, preventing Jellal from completing the resurrection ritual. The destruction of the tower freed the remaining slaves and ended the cult's plans.

    Jellal Fernandes is a childhood friend of Erza Scarlet and one of the most complex characters in Fairy Tail. Prior to the events of the story, he was a Dark Mage who sought to revive Zeref through the use of the R-System after being manipulated by Ultear Milkovich. During that time, he committed numerous atrocities, including the enslavement of children at the Tower of Heaven and the murder of Simon, one of Erza's closest friends.

    Jellal was originally a kind and gentle boy who was enslaved alongside Erza at the Tower of Heaven. He was forced to work on the R-System and witnessed the cruelty of the cult that held them captive. When Erza led a revolt and escaped, Jellal was manipulated by Ultear, who used her Arc of Time Magic to amplify his darkest emotions and turn him into a pawn of Zeref. Under her influence, he became obsessed with resurrecting Zeref and completing the Tower of Heaven.

    After his defeat at the Tower of Heaven by Natsu Dragneel, Jellal developed amnesia and became Fairy Tail's ally, adopting the identity of Mystogan and joining the guild. He later regained his memories and was arrested by the Magic Council for his crimes. During the seven years that Fairy Tail's core members were missing, Jellal was rescued from prison by Ultear and Meredy, and together they founded Crime Sorcière, an independent guild dedicated to eradicating Dark Guilds and atoning for their past sins.

    Jellal is a master of Heavenly Body Magic, a powerful form of Caster Magic that allows him to manipulate celestial bodies and gravity. He is also skilled in various other forms of Magic, including Dark Magic and elemental Magic. He is one of the Ten Wizard Saints, though his title was revoked after his crimes were revealed.

    Jellal's relationship with Erza Scarlet is one of the most poignant in the series.     Beyond Dragon Slayer Magic, there exist two other archetypes of Slayer Magic: God Slayer Magic and Devil Slayer Magic. Each is a Lost Magic of immense power, and each is designed to combat a specific type of being. Alongside these, there exists a separate power system known as Curses, which functions differently from conventional Magic.

    God Slayer Magic: A rival Magic to Dragon Slayer Magic, God Slayer Magic is said to be taught by gods and is considered a stronger variant of Dragon Slayer Magic. Users of God Slayer Magic can consume their respective element to replenish their strength, just like Dragon Slayers. Notable God Slayers include Zancrow (Flame God Slayer Magic), Chelia Blendy (Sky God Slayer Magic), and Orga Nanagear (Lightning God Slayer Magic). God Slayer Magic is particularly effective against gods and those with divine properties.

    Devil Slayer Magic: Also known as Exorcist Magic, Devil Slayer Magic is an extremely rare form of Magic designed specifically for hunting Demons from the Books of Zeref. Like Dragon Slayers and God Slayers, Devil Slayers can become immune to the effects of their respective element and can even eat it to replenish their strength. Devil Slayers can manipulate their own body to some degree, allowing them to change the color of their irises and summon black markings across their body at will. These markings help them resist the effects of Curses by turning part of the user's body into that of a Demon. Devil Slayers also have the ability to analyze the body composition of Demons by merely looking at them. Those who utilize Devil Slayer Magic are stated to gradually lose their sanity, becoming increasingly unstable and eventually going berserk. Gray Fullbuster is the most notable user of Devil Slayer Magic, having inherited it from his father, Silver Fullbuster.

    Curses: Curses are a form of power that is distinct from conventional Magic. They are used primarily by the Etherious, the Demons from the Books of Zeref, and are fueled by negative emotions such as hatred, fear, and despair. Unlike Magic, which draws on Ethernano, Curses draw on the user's own dark emotions. Curses are incredibly powerful and can bypass many forms of magical defense. The most powerful Curse is Memento Mori, known as the "Ultimate Curse," which can destroy anything it touches, including concepts and ideas. Devil Slayer Magic is particularly effective against Curses, as the markings it grants allow the user to resist their effects.

    These three systems—Dragon Slayer Magic, God Slayer Magic, Devil Slayer Magic, and Curses—represent the highest tiers of power in the Fairy Tail world. They are rare, dangerous, and often come with severe consequences for those who wield them.
