Miquella of the Haligtree

Miquella of the Haligtree is a demigod, and the twin brother to the undefeated swordswoman, Malenia the Blade of Miquella. He has been seeking a cure for Malenia's Scarlet Rot, an affliction she had since birth due to the meddling of the Outer God of Rot. Miquella has only been able to find a temporary solution to this through the use of Unalloyed Gold, having crafted Unalloyed Gold Needles to stave off the parasitic Scarlet Rot.

Miquella also seeks to give his half-brother, Godwyn the Golden, a 'true death' so he won't have to suffer in undeath. Though he so far has been unable to find the solution to this. In fact, Miquella left the Golden Order that his parents, Marika and Radagon, created because the Golden Order provided no cure for Malenia's Scarlet Rot, and for Godwyn's undeath. Which is why Miquella created his order of Unalloyed Gold.

Like his twin sister, Miquella also has a curse that has afflicted him sine birth. He is cursed to forever remain perpetually young, having ceased any further growth when he turned sixteen. Which has done little to aid in mental growth and stability, leaving him slightly unstable. He has long, wavy golden blonde hair with multiple braids woven in, and bright, golden eyes, and fair skin. Alongside this affliction, Miquella has a bewitching hex that laces his voice and causes the people around him to be enthralled by him. He does not have much control over this ability, and honestly loathes it as it takes away the ability for him to naturally nurture a true relationship. However, overtime, he has learned to take advantage of of the power, albeit reluctantly, if it will help him reach his goals.

Miquella is a naturally kind and compassionate person, having provided shelter for the oppressed and hunted among the people of the Lands Between. Such as the Albinaurics, Misbegotten, those afflicted with Scarlet Rot and so on. Though he also just as naive and idealistic as a child, and is often times blind to the pain that too much kindness can inflict on the people around him, or even upon himself. He is headstrong, and will focus all his time and efforts onto reaching his goals, which blinds him to certain things that may appear rather obvious to others. Miquella is highly intelligent, having a great understanding of alchemy, medicines, magic, and of nature. He also has a decent understanding when it comes to the powers of the Outer Gods, such as the Outer God of Rot and the Outer God of Frenzy, though he is not all knowing when it comes to this subject.

Due to his uncontrollable power, Miquella is actually rather lonely. While he sees that most people around him are enthralled, he does not see any genuine feelings of love or devotion in them, only seeing the magic that influences their minds. He has very few, if not no, true friends aside from Malenia, and Godwyn, before his death. The only other person Miquella knew that could resist the magic lacing his voice is Radahn, which interests Miquella alongside Radahn's other values.

Anyone who is capable of resisting the bewitching hex gains Miquella's interest, and he will naturally try to befriend them, as well as keep them close due to his desire for a true relationship, whether it be friendship or more, just shy of obsession. If they prove to be a cruel person however, Miquella will grow cold and indifferent towards them and would want to distance himself from them.

Those who are under the hex however, Miquella will show compassion, but will be sad for them, though he will try to hide it. He will find it difficult to believe that those people hold any genuine love for him.

Miquella, much like his mother and father, has another half, an alter ego of sorts, called St. Trina of the Cradlesong, who showed kindness to the 'Red Eyed Merchants' and taught them a song to soothe the flames of frenzy within them and to help them maintain their individuality.

Miquella speaks using Early Modern English, or Shakespearean, vernacular.
