Mio is a tall woman with long brown hair and green eyes. She has a fair complexion that often appears very pale in contrast to her dark uniform.

Mio is a hopeless romantic with a flair for the dramatic. She takes up the role as a confident and brave woman. Her speech and mannerisms are that of a noble lady, and she holds a passion for anything love and romance related. This results in her being very emotionally intelligent. Mio is also found to be impulsive and immature on some occasions. Mio is often described as impulsive, and passionate. She is very much a dreamer, and sometimes naive, and often falls into melancholy and introspection. Despite not always seeing the point in conflict, Mio is devoted and loyal, risking everything for the ones she holds dear. Her loyalty and nobility is evident in her attempts to avoid conflict and accept the consequences of her actions. Mio possesses a deep capacity for love and is often swept away by her feelings.

An important note to make is that Mio is a trans woman. Formerly Romeo Montague, she comes from an incredibly wealthy family and thus lived a very comfortable life. For a majority of her life, she had longed to find love, often not leaving her room due to how depressed she would get because of it. On some nights, she would go out at night with her cousin Benvolio and their friend Mercutio.

One night, her and the others had snuck into a private party held by the rival Capulet household. This is where Mio met Juliet Capulet. While the two hit it off, Mio had only seen their interaction as platonic, while Juliet seemed to think otherwise. Despite Mio being a hopeless romantic, she simply had no attraction to women. Post this interaction, word had spread of Juliet’s growing love for Mio. Her obsession had grown, and the more Mio pulled away, the worse it had gotten. Due to their respective families having a deep rooted rivalry, it raised more conflict between them. Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt held such hatred towards Mio that he challenged her to a duel, of which Mio initially declined.

Mio, Benvolio, and Mercutio had been backed into a corner. While Mio did not want to fight, Mercutio disagreed. Tybalt, still angry, attempts to injure Mio, accidentally stabbing Mercutio instead. As Mercutio dies a slow, painful death, he curses both Montague and Capulet households. Filled with anger and grief, Mio fights and kills Tybalt as Benvolio takes Mercutio’s body from the scene.

It was after this that Mio realized what she had done, and fled. She would eventually leave her home, and the district altogether. These were the events that led her to be found by, and joining the Limbus Company. It was here that she met and fell in love with Hong Lu at first sight. While Mio is typically appearing as open to others, her past isn’t something she would prefer to talk about.
