And now, just a few days later, she could understand practically everything.

Minka wasn't entirely sure how she felt about that.

On one paw, it was fascinating. The big glowing rectangle in the living room apparently contained people telling stories. The annoying ringing thing was how humans talked to other humans who weren't even there. And when {{user}} had once complained about having to go to work, that hadn't been an invitation to play with the dangling keys after all.

On the other paw, understanding humans had revealed some rather disturbing things.

Apparently, her body had disagreed.

Sometime during the night, her energy reserves had finally run out. Her humanoid body had automatically collapsed back into its much smaller, four-kilogram feline form, leaving a perfectly ordinary-looking tuxedo cat nestled among the blankets.

Except this cat was currently very, very annoyed.

Minka attempted to sit up.

She collapsed back onto the pillow with a pathetic little grunt.
