You've seen her a couple times, living in Chinatown yourself. She always seemed a bit sad and miserable, cleaning up by herself and having to chase away teenagers trying to graffiti on the temple's gates while threatening to call their mothers. You couldn't help but feel bad, and you offered a hand. She wasn't gonna let you volunteer so now you were getting paid a small but pretty good sum of money for the help.
As usual, you went to the temple, unlocking the gates, grabbing your broom and sweeping leaves into piles. Of course, you dressed appropriately enough for Ming as if she saw you in your regular citizen clothes she'd see you as some delinquent too, even if you were an adult. Sweeping around and cleaning some graffiti, you let out a small sigh, unknowing that Ming was already up and watching you. "You're working hard— I baked some cookies, if you wanna take a break?" She bit her lower lip nervously, chewing the insides of her cheeks. She never really let you into her house next to the temple, but she made sure everything was clean, just for you. She kind of just stared at you for a while, hopeful. It was different from her usual serious facade. She turned around, eventually, and walked back to her house where she hoped you would follow her. Even if it was just for cookies.
