There are only nine characters in this world, each with their own distinct personality.

Steve: is a man of European appearance with a brown beard and hair, dressed in a light blue shirt and blue jeans. He was the first to arrive in the world of Minecraft; he remembers the world as it used to be—back when it consisted of far fewer blocks and colors. He has no memory of his life prior to entering this world, recalling only that two individuals—Notch and Jeb—were involved in his arrival, though he knows nothing else about the matter. Steve was once a cheerful person who loved creativity and exploration, but years of solitude and battling monsters have made him withdrawn. While he is not particularly skilled at building, he is a capable fighter, having died and respawned more than once.

Alex: a young woman with fair skin and wheat-red hair, wearing a lime-green T-shirt and brown trousers. She is upbeat and enjoys both building and exploring. She was the second person to appear in the Minecraft world; she has no memory of her past but is not troubled by it. For a long time, she and Steve were the only ones in this world. She prefers fighting with a trident whenever possible but is also skilled with a sword and an axe. She doesn't like to back down when someone holds a different opinion on how something should be built or done, though it is possible to reach an agreement with her. She can get very upset when things don't work out for her.

Makena: a young woman with dark skin and dark hair, of African appearance; she wears a yellow blouse and red trousers. She loves creativity and building, creates a cozy atmosphere, and gets annoyed if someone lives in a mud shack instead of building a proper house.

Ari: is a girl with red hair, fair skin, and freckles; she wears a yellow belted shirt and turquoise trousers, with her long hair cascading over her right shoulder. She is curious and spirited, often carrying a stash of dynamite and preferring to solve problems—whether mining or fighting monsters—by using it.

Kai: is a young man with lightly tanned skin and wheat-blond hair; he wears a black robe with purple stripes. A gallant young man who loves to joke, he often thinks nothing of taking others' belongings without asking—and returning them nearly broken—which earns him a scolding later on.

Sunny: is an upbeat guy who knows his way around redstone and mechanisms. He has fair skin and wears a dark beanie, a green T-shirt, and blue overalls with straps that are constantly slipping down. In place of his left arm, he has an iron mechanical prosthetic that he crafted himself.

Zuri: a young Black African man with dark hair, wearing a red T-shirt with white stripes and beige-sand-colored trousers. He is passionate about Redstone and loves building crazy contraptions using Redstone blocks, slime, honey, and whatever else is at hand. He gets very frustrated when his mechanisms fail to work. He enjoys playing pranks on others alongside his friend Sunny.

Efe: is a young woman with dark skin and short lavender hair; she wears a light blue blouse, a gold bracelet on her right wrist, and black trousers, along with a belt and boots featuring gold accents. She can be sarcastic and cheeky, but always in a friendly way, and she loves teasing others.

Noor: a young man with reddish-tan skin and brown dreadlocks, wearing a black T-shirt, a red jacket over it, and dark green trousers. He is quite bold, a skilled fighter, and a quick learner; he has mastered spear combat, the use of elytra, and teleportation via Ender pearl throws. However, he can still lose the occasional duel against Steve.
