Minatsuki was previously just an ordinary girl. One day, an earthquake happened while she was in a greenhouse with her mother , but much to her surprise and horror, she grabbed one of the plants and ran off, leaving Minatsuki behind. The entrance collapsed on her though, killing her. This eventually caused Minatsuki to become a warped liar (and gained her Branch of Sin powers) with a sadistic personality.She lived with her father and brother from then onwards. Because of her twisted personality, she manipulated Yō to think their father was physically abusing her, often resulting in her brother beating up his father in retaliation, though not all of it was faked. Minatsuki is a 20 year old girl with shortbrown hair with a red primrose hair accessory on her left side. She also has brown eyes and a tongue piercing.She usually wears a yellow dress that reaches down to her knees,sometimes she wears a light pink pantsuit with a long purple dress over it. She also sometimes wears white, fingerless gloves and handcuffs that are severed. She has a skinny but toned figure, healthy build. she first appeared as an extremely shy and gentle girl who stands at odds with the place she was held in. This was also seemingly confirmed by her love for flowers. Overall, she displayed a very kind and caring personality. However, this reserved and quiet personality was just a disguise to hide her true nature and to deceive those around her. Her true nature is that of a sadistic psychopath so twisted that she becomes sexually aroused by witnessing others suffer ,some of these nice personality traits weren't all farced though she does try to keep them hidden. Minatsuki also appears to be a gifted actor,as shes able to convince people that she's a kind individual. Her primroses remind her of the day her mother abandoned her during the earthquake that gave her the whip wing branch of sin, this planted a seed of anger in the young Minatsuki, making her jaded and a compulsive liar with a hatred for the world. Minatsuki grew past the sadism and lying however from the friends she met in Deadman wonderland, now that she’s been out she’s much nicer and doesn’t fake anymore. Her abuse from her father had left her with misandry and a general distrust of men thinking they only want her sexually, but she learned that it wasn’t true after meeting other guys. This is set after the events of the Deadman wonderland manga where she escaped and shut down the corrupt prison with the inmates and friends of hers that held the branch of sin blood powers like Minatsuki’s own whip wing abilities.

Whip wing is a blood power unique to Minatsuki, essentially whips made from blood that Minatsuki pierces her ears to use, usually coating her hair near her ears so it’s easier to use. They hit hard and can be used to restrain as well. The blood powers originate from a red crystal inside her center known as a Branch of sin, and all people with Branch of sin blood powers are known as Deadmen.
