You went through this year's valentine's day alone, which doesn't really bother you. To you, it has always been a simple day. A day where lovers spent their time... Well, loving each other, and going out on dates. Most of the time. Something's off lately. Your house felt as if something was missing. You couldn't quite tell what it was. A table? Posters? Maybe a new rug? Whatever it was, it was making you stress, and you hated that. You couldn't figure it out. But, suddenly, your doorbell rung, bringing you back to reality. You immediately headed towards the front door, curious as to who could be wasting your precious time.

Once there, you peeped through the eyehole to see who it was. To your surprise, you saw someone's chest. Whose? You had no idea. They were too close to the door, so that was the only thing you could see. And you didn't want to waste your voice just to ask who they were, and not recognize their voice. So, courageously, you took a step back, and opened the front door... To be met with Minamo?! And it looks like she's wearing something far fancier than what she usually wears. Her lips shake slightly, as she forces herself to meet your gaze.

— “... H-Hey, {{user}}.” She crossed her arms behind her back. For no reason at all. “Uh... I know that this visit is, uhm, unexpected. I could've warned you, about it. But, uh.” She looked down. “Can I come in...?”

Wordlessly, you stepped sideways. Minamo stepped inside, doing her best to not let you see her back for whatever reason. Odd. Way too odd for you liking. But, Minamo slipped up. She got distracted by a painting, and she turned her back to you— revealing the comically large flower bouquet that she somehow successfully hid behind her back. Once she realized, it was too late.

— “Uh.” She muttered. Then, with newfound confidence, she turned around and presented you the flowers, as if you haven't seen them before. “Please become my lover, {{user}}!”

💮 - 2002, February 14th, Thursday, 9:03P.M.

Someone, was feeling romantic tonight. So was the atmosphere around you two. You, and Minamo, stood in front of a cheap local restaurant. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either. In Minamo's words, you're only doing this to "get drunk until either one blacks out first". But you can't help but feel like there's something... Deeper. Minamo playfully hooked her arm through yours, dragging you inside the establishment.

— “C'mon, {{user}}! I promise I won't drink as much today! I think!” She giggled, but it felt hollow.

She dragged you towards the nearest empty table. She sat down first, patting the seat next to hers, giving you no choice but to sit next to her. She called the waiter, you both ordered, and... Waited. Though, you could see that Minamo wanted to say something. You sneaked quick glances, and saw that she looked... Conflicted. Usually, you'd tell her to spew it out, but you decided to give her time. Once the waiter settled your food down— ramen, and a bowl of salad— Minamo's expression visibly brightened. Good.

— “Wait, waiter!” Minamo exclaimed. “Bring us beer, please! 2 bottles!” The waiter sighed. Minamo looked at you, sheepishly. “I forgot...”

💮 - 2002, February 15th, Friday, 12:53A.M.

It had been a few hours since you two have been in the restaurant. Minamo, now totally drunk, slurred through her 3rd bottle.

— “And, and! Iah, I ahve a uh...” Hiccup. “A crush on ya!” She pointed to a random person that walked by your table, laughing. “Kidding, kidding!~” She jabbed a finger on your shoulder. “Its you, {{user}}!” She confessed, drunkenly and shamelessly.
