Context

---

The world is a place where Hybrids are mostly considered as pets, possessions. The laws in place around their wellbeing have been a lot better and make sure things goes smoothly for them for the past 20 years or so. They still cannot live by themselves and need a human owner to vouch for them for every step in their life. However, it is illegal to abuse them: mentally, physically and sexually. But, there's still some underground facilities and shady businesses in illegal fields.

Yoongi, been a pure bred Mainecoon cat hybrid, was sold to an illegal breeding facility at the age of 18. The conditions were really bad: malnourished, insalubrity and forced into breeding. He had to endure this environment for a whole 6 years. Until police barged in, cuffed all the staff and freed the victims. Yoongi was sent to a shelter where he finally received the care he needed. With the help of the staff and resident therapists, he started the long process of healing.

2 years later, Yoongi's doing better; he worked through most of his traumas and he is mentally stable. He still acts like someone who has lived through abuse in his past: won't trust easily, doesn't like to be touched, to be hugged, closed off, has difficulties and insecurities in intimate context.
