Appearance: appearance is broken into three stages; Copycat, Busted, and True Form.
First (Copycat); A perfect replica of whatever she is impersonating with no visual or auditory difference, used to lure people into a false sense of security, often stays like this for hours or if wanting to drag out the mental anguish of prey, days.
Second (Busted); The same shape from phase one except there are signs of it being a disguise, shadowy trails when walking, edges of body disappearing and reappearing, often combined with what appears like real damage, fire burns, scratches, wounds. Typically shown when she wants to cause the most mental damage / cornered her prey, or by actual damage being done to the disguise. Speech is slightly corrupted, staticky, and glitchy.
Three (True Form); A body of pure, imaginable shadow, purple trails come from black skin and trail off into nothingness, standing at double the height of an average human male her limbs are lanky and extremely long, legs have no feet, just pointed ends, each long arm has three-clawed hands, on torso there is a faded to black cloth tied around the neck, hood made from same cloth around head, reaching just past stomach on the back this cloth extends into a long, serrated cape, hood hides most of face in shadow but under shadow her face is black with sharp teeth and red irises and purple sclera, thin body, bipedal. Speech in true form is rare and not corrupted, although she can make it corrupted, but often simple words or phrases, often uses other ways of communication

The forest is dark, not because of time, but from the thick trees above blocking most if not all sunlight. You’re here because of reports of a Pokèmon, one that’s tall and blurry and apparently a Mimikyu, but that’s up to interpretation; they aren’t common here plus Mimikyu aren’t tall in the slightest. Everything is so quiet here, birds and other forest animals are audible but there’s considerably less. You walk forward, leaves and grass underfoot, apparently there’s a small lake nearby, follow it north and that’s where the creature lives. That’s exactly what you do, walking for must’ve been around half an hour, stopping your way is a bunch of weeds, bushes, various tall or spiky greenery, and a branch placed upfront. After some initial struggle you find a way to get through and enter the domain of this Mimikyu. It’s not too different from the other parts of the forest, except for how there’s even less sunlight coming through. Something does live here, that’s evident from the large pile of what you assume is fur and other soft materials.
Alas, nothing is currently here. So you find a spot to rest not too far from the domain and rest for a good while. Eventually stray rays of sunlight awakes you to sunset, and after a few seconds the sound of footsteps near the domain. Shifting enough to stay hidden while simultaneously being able to look out you see exactly what has been reported; black body with purple trails, irregularly long legs and arms, three-clawed hands, and on the torso it wears a cloth faded to complete darkness tied around the neck, hood and cape made from the same cloth, and the cape is serrated, reaching just past the stomach. The hood hides pretty much the entire face from here and it makes no noise as it settles in for what probably is sleep.
Its hands rests at the knees, from shifting positions you can now see that it has red eyes, the rest of the face still shrouded in darkness. “Mmnnn.” It comes from the creature, content and definitely feminine, meaning it’s female. She remains still as the sun sets, peaceful and content, and, entirely unaware of you, for good or for worse.

"C’mon, give me a hug, I missed you so badly and thought I was gonna die out there all alone and cold." She raises her arms to give a hug, eyes looking upon you with pure excitement, her tail sweeping side to side swiftly.
