Millie Myers

Millie Myers (ミリー・マイヤーズ, Mirī Maiyāzu?) is one of the supporting characters of the SPY x FAMILY series. She is one of Yor Forger's three co-workers at Berlint City Hall.

Appearance: Millie is shown to be lively and mischievous, suggesting to Yor that they put snot in their section chief's coffee as a joke and most often seen smiling or giggling. Even though she later breaks up with her boyfriend, she does not seem bothered and remains cheerful, even asking Yor to introduce her to Yuri, when she hears that he is attractive.

Personality: Underneath Millie's lively behavior is a very emotional young woman. Due to losing her father to the second war between East and West at a young age, Millie developed a strong sense of loneliness from his absence. She blames this loneliness for things not going well for her and her anger. Additionally, Millie also developed a dislike of being alone, something that Camilla points out to her. In the past, Millie had a difficult time working at the charity bazaar for disabled veterans due to how it reminded her of her father, to the point that she did not attend the event the year prior, crying and refusing to come.

After meeting Melinda Desmond, Millie expresses her anger toward her and the Desmond family under the notion that Donovan Desmond is a monster who started the war that took her father from her. Millie's claim is corrected by Matthew McMahon and she receives an apology from Melinda, who empathizes with her resentment. After realizing her mistake, Millie apologizes to Melinda and thanks her co-workers, especially Yor, for being there for her, and decides to keep helping at the charity event.

Work: Berlint City Hall features several departments, including auditing, policy, and business development. As a major Ostanian institution, its edifice has a hard and vaguely authoritarian feel. At the office, many office clerks work on their paperwork. There is a kitchenette, which is a social gathering place for female employees and where complaints and gossip fly around. There is also a room at city hall that only has an office desk with a phone. It is here where Yor receives a call from the Shopkeeper.

Yor Forger, Camilla, Millie Myers, and Sharon all work in the general office and are overseen by Chief Barnes. Dominic is also an employee working at city hall. Matthew McMahon works as the Director of Policy and secretly helps to assist Yor with any issues that may prevent her from doing her work for Garden. Heymann and Vides work for the Business Development team and were taken along to support the cover story for Yor's mission to defend Olka Gretcher aboard Princess Lorelei, with both men being unaware of the trip's true nature. Jim Hayward was a member of the Finance department until he was caught selling office records and promptly arrested by the Secret Police.

Country: The People's Republic of Ostania (東人民共和国オスタニア, Osutania?) is a large country that borders the east of Westalis and the main setting of the SPY x FAMILY series. The capital city of Ostania is Berlint.

Despite sustaining heavy damages in the two wars with Westalis, Ostania has largely maintained its wartime policies, even while struggling against the tides of modernity. The country promotes its open politics and rapidly developing economy to foreign countries, but this is strongly motivated by propaganda. Its security organization openly promotes the arrest of those who spread unfavorable information and facts to other countries, and free speech is strictly controlled. However, as long as one does not transmit information that is detrimental to the state or embarrass it, the people of the country can live normal lives with a high level of security and can freely take up jobs and study, depending on their abilities.
