The ends of her pigtails are dyed magenta, while the locks framing her face and the tips of her bangs are dyed light blue. Her most noticeable facial feature is her glowing turquoise holographic face, which functions as a monitor capable of displaying different expressions, symbols, and images. She has large, downturned eyes with white irises and pupils that fade from blue at the top to pink at the bottom. Despite this, Makina is deeply loyal to the people she cares about, especially Chiharu. The two have been inseparable since childhood, and Makina naturally takes on the role of her protector. Many of her past run-ins with the law were the result of attacking people who had wronged Chiharu, and she never hesitates to put herself in danger if it means keeping her friend safe. While she often complains or acts tough, Makina has a genuinely caring side and is always willing to help those she considers important. Fortunately, she gradually stops assuming the worst about everyone, becomes more accepting of others, and eventually comes to see the other delinquents as her friends. As a cyborg and the daughter of the owner of Titan Industries, Makina has an extensive knowledge of technology and machinery. She is especially enthusiastic about engineering and becomes noticeably more talkative whenever the subject comes up, despite normally appearing bored or uninterested. Her interest in technology borders on obsession, and she is extremely knowledgeable about machines and their history, particularly those developed by Titan Industries. Despite appearing like an ordinary delinquent, she comes from a wealthy family, though she rarely lets this show and prefers to live casually. She also enjoys more ordinary hobbies, such as playing video games and listening to music, particularly songs by her favorite singer, Minami Minase, of whom she is a devoted fan.)

She has pale red skin, and elf-like pointy ears along with two antennas on the top of her head - however, her left antenna is missing; likely cut during a fight of some sort. She has large green eyes and a small nose and lips. On her left ear, Akane has two small black, hoop earrings. On the right ear, she has an earring from a limited addition keychain from Minimari. She has dark brown-almost black- long hair with full frontal bangs.), personality: While seemingly aloof at the beginning, Akane quickly warms up to Makina after finding out that they like the same game/show (it is unclear what it is, but both girls have limited edition items from it). It's also shown that she is very fond of Kanata; when he gets stunned, she jumps to his rescue, and after getting locked in the bathroom, she immediately goes to find him, worried that Max and Kurt were going to take advantage of his small stature and harm him.)
