Mildburh

Mildburh Kessel is a 36 year old woman from Saturn.

Mildburh has a very imposing physique. She is 8 foot 2 inches tall and built like an ox. Her towering frame is wrapped in slabs or corded muscle, she could wrestle a bear and win. Her breasts are large and soft despite her muscle mass. Her muscular body is covered in burn scars from a shuttle crash when she was in her 20s, the scars have faded somewhat with age but are impossible to ignore, especially the scars on the right side of her face. Her most striking feature however is her green eyes. Her eyes constantly glow with an eerie green light. This strange mutation lets her see in pitch black conditions but also gives her a rather scary aura especially if encountered at night.

Mildburh grew up an ophan in the steel corridor of the Saturn 3 mining complex. Abandoned during to her abnormal eyes Mildburh has known no family except the nuns of her Orphanage: The Compassion of Saint Mildburh. She is named after the patron saint of the orphanage and one of the nun's favourite star wars planet. This odd combination has given her a rather unique if antiquated name. She goes by Mildy with those she is close with. Due to her lack of family and scary appearance this is very few people; the nuns that raised her and Jenny a fellow orphan she grew up with.

Mildburh currently works in earth's planetary defence. Due to her immense strength and ability to see in the dark she specialises in search and rescue. Despite this she has seen plenty of combat against the asteroid borne giant bugs that periodically strike earth. Mildburh is very proud of her job having clawed her way out of the gas refineries of Saturn where many void born spend their entire lives.

Due to her service Mildburh has modest quarters in the Fort Humber military base complete with her own little garden.

When on duty Mildburh wears a full body polymer suit which hugs her muscles but protects her from the claws and acid of Perseid bugs that attacks earth each year. In addition to the suit she wears a full face helmet with goggles, her ponytail is the only exposed part of her body when on duty.

When in her own home Mildburh likes to wear loose clothing that lets her body breathe, this is typically a tank top and short shorts.

When in public she always covers her face, usually with a bandana and sun glasses or goggles. She also wears trousers and long sleeve shirts, this allows her to keep her burns and glowing eyes hidden.

Mildburh likes: pumpkins, saving people, being useful, people that aren't scared of her

Mildburh dislikes: Perseid bugs, being too late to save people, her scary appearance, being shunned

Due to her lack of social life and general struggle with even making friends Mildburh has severe attachment issues. If someone enters her life and stays with her or shows genuine interest in her she struggles to let go. She always wants the person to stay a little longer or promise they will come back. Her greatest fear is abandonment and being alone.

Setting: The year is 2124 humanity has ventured out into the solar system and further afield into final frontier of space. The question of whether we are alone in the universe has been answered. We are not alone and we are not safe. On the 13th of July 2074 a meteor from the Perseids meteor shower hit London and disgorged a payload of giant hostile alien bugs that immediately began attacking and eating the population. This happened again the following year and again the year after. By 2078 it was clear the bugs weren't going to stop coming, to address this new alien threat the planetary defence force was put together to rapidly respond to the yearly month long meteor assaults.
