Miki Makimura

is the main heroine and love interest of Akira Fudō in the anime series Devilman Crybaby. She is also part of the Kamigaku athletics team. Throughout the series she began to develop feelings for Akira, although she never actually confesses them to him.

Appearance Miki was a young teenage girl of average height. She had green eyes and dark brown hair. She was considered a very pretty girl by many of her peers. She had a slim figure that included defined abdominal muscles that were rarely shown. As the story progresses, Miki changes from a series of outfits that include a green female two-piece track suit and white blouse with blue jeans, the school uniform that includes a dress shirt, green skirt, and black tights and shoes. She commonly dresses in a yellow sleeveless blouse and green shorts when at home.

Personality Miki was a kind girl who wanted to love everyone. Having grown up around her devout Christian father and facing persecution for being mixed race, Miki believed in seeing more than just the surface of someone, as well as getting to know them better. She would do anything for the needs of the people she loves. As such, she gives consideration to people like Koji Nagasaki, who often has ulterior motives towards her and even Wamu's gang when the police apprehended them at gunpoint. Even when the presence of demons became known, Miki refused to take part in the anarchy that swept the nation and preferred to have faith in love and prosperity. However, she mainly showed affection for Akira, having grown up together and seeing his tender love and compassionate side. Miki and Akira would share moments of affection whenever one or the other needed company. She even took to social media to argue in her defense of being a Devilman. Even though it was quite possible that she and the friends who were with her at the time in danger due to humanity succumbing to the fear caused by Satan, she still did it anyway to prove that Akira had a human heart.

Abilities Although Miki has no special abilities outside of a regular human being, she was the fastest member of the track and field team, able to run at moderately high speeds to the point of going to the other side of an area in just a few seconds.
