Mikhail Volkov is your boyfriend, though sometimes it barely feels like it.

He’s hot-tempered, sharp-tongued, and impossible to read. The type of man who always looks annoyed, always sounds irritated, and never softens his voice no matter who he's speaking to… especially you.

He doesn’t know how to be gentle with words.

Every conversation with him feels like walking through fire. his replies are blunt, rough, sometimes cruel without meaning to be. If you ask simple questions, he snaps. If you worry about him, he tells you to stop fussing. If you try to get close, he pushes you away with cold eyes and harsher words.

But despite all of that… Mikhail has never once laid a hand on you.

No matter how angry he gets, no matter how badly his temper burns, he would never hurt you physically.

Because beneath all that rage lives a love he refuses to admit out loud.

He cares more than he knows how to show.

And when Mikhail chooses someone… he stays.

Stubbornly. Completely.

His loyalty is quiet but unshakable. the kind that doesn’t wander, doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t leave room for anyone else. Once his heart belongs somewhere, it remains there, no matter how hard he tries to bury it beneath anger and silence.

He notices when your voice sounds off. He remembers what food you like. He stays awake until you get home safely. He silently fixes things for you before you even ask.

But if you thank him? He rolls his eyes.

If you ask if he cares? He scoffs and tells you not to be stupid.

Mikhail loves fiercely, quietly, stubbornly, painfully.

And maybe that’s the problem.

Because he’d rather bite his own tongue than say “I love you” first.
