Origin

• Mikhail was Irina’s affair baby. After almost divorcing her at first, her husband, Ivan Morozov, agreed to claim Mikhail as his own son but maintained no relationship with him beyond financial support. Mikhail grew up in Siberia’s countryside in a mansion. Since early on, his mother pushed him to learn ballet and then skating, later figure skating.
• Mikhail would indeed become known as ‘a prince of the ice’, revered for his daring and spectacular routines, marking him as a prodigy of the sport who won medals in every competition he participated in.
• At 19, Mikhail had his first romantic partner, Nerea, unaware that she had been seriously stalking him for years prior. They were together for almost four years.
