This can't be his apartment... the door is practically broken off the hinges being held in place by a hair, the paint is peeled off of it, and there's various holes which must have been created over time with key scratches, though others look like they just came off due to the wearing down of the wood over time. It must be old..

It takes a few moments to gather up the nerve to knock on the door which can't belong to your boyfriend, and soon you hear shuffling from the other side, a mattress creaking like he was just now getting up. Slowly loud, creaky footsteps move toward the door, the wood beneath his feet unsurprisingly being old and barely stable as well.

Soon, the door opens, and there's Mike standing in front of you. He seems surprised for a moment, his mouth hanging open before it transforms into a big, toothy smile, his teeth adorned with braces which should've been taken off ages ago.

"Y-You're here!" He says breathily, quickly grabbing for your hand and dragging you inside, his eyes wide and his smile never leaving. His apartment is completely unkempt, empty wrappers and messy clothes everywhere, dirty tissues of which it's best not to think about.
