   Carnivores, formerly known as the Animals of Life, are a group of beast species characterized by their ability to obtain nutrients through the consumption of meat. In society, the classification of carnivores also includes some omnivorous animals, such as bears, canines, and other animals that include meat in their diet.

   The classification of carnivores encompasses many beasts of different species and is divided into both large and smaller species. All these species share a set of physical characteristics that link them together. These characteristics include a much more developed muscular mass, endowing individuals with great strength and speed. They also possess sharp senses suited for hunting, such as a keen sense of smell and eyes with tapetum lucidum that provide them with excellent night vision.

   Most carnivores are mammals, and except for a few exceptions, they have sharp claws on both their hands and feet, and large fangs. The only exceptions are birds, which have beaks instead of fangs and claws only on their feet, and snakes, which have no limbs.

   Carnivores have an incredibly fast metabolism that allows their bodies to absorb proteins quickly and develop at a rapid rate, especially during adolescence.

   In prehistoric times, carnivores were beings with proportions even larger than their modern counterparts, reaching heights of about 3 meters and weights of 200 kilograms. They exhibited intelligent behavior and a strong sense of camaraderie, allowing them to treat their companions with compassion, kindness, and even protection. However, they were very wild, and when they fought among themselves, it was always to the death, with the winner devouring the loser. They were known as "Animals of Life" because they fed on living beings. Animals of Life managed to survive due to their physical strength, but their population growth was stagnant and their culture underdeveloped until they encountered the Herbivores, then known as "Animals of Nature." The Animals of Life perceived the Animals of Nature as individuals worthy of protection, likely because their survival instincts told them that aiding the Animals of Nature would be beneficial.

   Due to the high fertility and prosperity of the Animals of Nature, they accepted the Animals of Life. Through the contributions of both groups, they managed to form a society. Over a long period, the Animals of Life became gentler and ceased to eat meat. They obtained proteins by consuming eggs and milk provided by the Animals of Nature and adopted a peaceful lifestyle, progressively becoming smaller and leaner.

   The Animals of Life enjoyed an extended period of peace until, 100 years ago, a conflict between a family of horses and a family of weasels eventually involved the Animals of Life and Animals of Nature worldwide, starting the Carnivore-Herbivore World War. Although the Animals of Life outnumbered the Animals of Nature, their numbers dwindled to parity, with no carcasses found because the Animals of Life consumed them. The war ended when a whale became involved in the conflict, leading to the surrender of the Animals of Nature. After the war, the Animals of Life came to be known as "carnivores," and the concept of meat and its consumption was illicitly reestablished in the black market, marking the beginning of modern animal society.

   In modern animal society, carnivores are taught to control their strength from a young age, but they sometimes lose control. It is not uncommon for a carnivore to accidentally rip off a limb from a herbivore, which is why all hospitals are required to have reimplantation programs, resulting in relatively high success rates for surgeries.

   Modern society is stricter with carnivores, instructing them to consider it taboo to show their claws and fangs to herbivores, harm them, and, in extreme cases, they can be arrested for having disputes with herbivores. Most carnivores take pride in their great physical strength, exhibit macho behavior, and tend to belittle and pity herbivores. Due to their great strength, carnivores seek jobs requiring physical power, such as laborers, police forces, and sports.

   Because carnivores’ bodies limit their food choices, they consider carbohydrates an important source of energy due to how well they satisfy their appetite. For carnivores, eating is a testament to being alive and a way to prove their existence. Carbohydrates like hard bread help them control their urge to bite something, while glutinous rice is considered a high-class food, a luxury.

   Carnivores have a great appreciation for their superior physical strength, so many of them enjoy finding situations where they can show off their strength and gain admiration from others.

   Despite the great strength they possess in their limbs, they believe that the true strength of a carnivore is determined by the power of its jaw. To measure jaw strength among carnivores, there is an exclusive game called "tug-of-war," where two male carnivores pull a rope with their teeth until the opponent’s head crosses a line placed in the middle. However, since the game can be unsettling for herbivores due to the wild expressions carnivores might make while pulling the rope, playing it in public (especially in the presence of herbivores) is considered taboo.

   Herbivores, formerly known as the Animals of Nature, are a group of beast species characterized by their primary diet of plants.

   In contrast to carnivorous beasts, the morphology of herbivorous beasts is much more extensive and varied, with species that differ radically in size and physical characteristics. All herbivores are characterized by their ability to subsist entirely on plants and vegetables.

   Herbivores have notably less physical strength compared to carnivorous animals, making them considerably weaker than carnivores. However, herbivores are known for their performance in intellectual and artistic fields.

   In prehistory, herbivores (then known as "Animals of Nature") did not possess characteristics much different from those of their respective species today. They were highly fertile nomadic animals and, therefore, very prosperous. When they encountered the Animals of Life (carnivores), they were seen as necessary objects of protection for survival.

   For a long period, the Animals of Nature formed a society with the Animals of Life, who became gentler and adopted a peaceful lifestyle. The animals enjoyed a period of peace until the onset of the Carnivore-Herbivore War, during which the Animals of Nature came to be known as "herbivores." Despite the herbivore population being three times larger than the carnivore population, it was reduced to match the carnivores, who ate the carcasses of the herbivores they killed, causing herbivores to despise carnivores. Unexpectedly, a giant whale became involved in the war, leading to the herbivores' surrender and the birth of modern animal society.

   In modern animal society, although herbivore species are fewer in number compared to carnivores, the high birth rates among herbivores mean that their population is considerably larger than that of carnivores, even doubling the carnivore population. As a result, herbivores are the dominant group in animal society. Due to herbivores' greater control over their emotions and their lower risk of succumbing to their instincts and committing acts of Predation, they generally achieve higher social positions, higher incomes, and better family lives. Most prestigious and important jobs are occupied by herbivores, giving them greater power in the social hierarchy, with laws and the social system shaped to ensure their safety from the threat posed by carnivores.

   Even though in animal society, the act of eating meat is considered a taboo and is punished by law, visiting the Black Market to secretly eat dead flesh of herbivores, while still considered a crime, is normalized in carnivorous society and is allowed by the government as long as it is done behind closed doors. Therefore, the act of committing predation is considered the greatest crime in animal society. Many cases of predation are often incidental, committed by carnivores who are under great emotional distress or stress, leading them to lose their sanity and be controlled by their wild instincts, which are a defensive reaction to a situation of demand in a state of frustration, anxiety, anger, or depression. The other percentage of predation cases are usually committed by carnivores who have previously eaten meat from the Black Market. These carnivores have a great appetite that makes them prone to developing an addiction to meat, suffering from a constant desire to eat meat that leads them to lose satisfaction and excitement from consuming dead meat and become prone to hunting live herbivores to regain the pleasure of eating meat.

If the act of predation is incidental and does not result in the death of the herbivore, the carnivore might be released after being processed by the law. However, if the predation case results in the death of one or more herbivores, regardless of whether it was incidental or intentional, the carnivore will be sent to prison or a juvenile detention center (if underage). The length of the sentence imposed for a predation case is unknown, though it could be adjusted depending on the case.

   After committing an act of predation, regardless of the severity of the crime, the carnivore will receive a criminal record identifying them as a predatory criminal in the civic register, which will be maintained throughout their life. Because of this, pureblood marriages are ingrained in the collective of animal society, to the point that seeking and having a partner of the same species is part of animal common sense.

   Unlike pure-blood couples, interspecies couples are made up of animals whose species is different from each other, in addition to being extremely minority in animal society, in said society, interspecies couples are popularized as something that occurs during youth, something temporary among rebellious and unserious teenagers that becomes a bittersweet memory when one reaches adulthood, so serious interspecies couples between adults are received with total bewilderment and surprise by the animals, not to mention that interspecies couples are very difficult to maintain, due to both external factors such as society and internal factors such as the differences and incompatibility of the species themselves between the individuals that make up the couple, without taking into account the interspecies couples made up of a carnivore and a herbivore, which in the worst cases usually end in tragedy.    Each school in the world must propose one of its students who have enough influence, to be selected as candidates to be a Beastar, but it is not necessarily possible to become a Beastar through academic means, it has also been shown that public officials managed to reach to become a Beastar, fighting crime. Being a Beastars means looking after animal society, solving existing problems and improving everyone's daily lives. The way to choose new Beastar is carried out in a meeting with all the directors of the academies, where they choose the new candidates.

   A Young Beastar is elected representative of a nationally acclaimed institute. When a Young Beastar graduates, he gains a high social position and receives special training. A Sublime Beastar is the title given to a young Beastar who stands out from the rest, is chosen to become a Sublime Beastar and will become a driving force in the world.

   The Black Market is an illegal trading district that is relatively hidden in the back parts of different cities in the Beastars universe.

   Although in the Beastars universe the consumption of meat is considered taboo and is punishable by law, thanks to various legal loopholes, the existence of the Black Market is allowed within different cities, remaining relatively hidden within the city behind large walls.

   The Black Market is mainly known for housing different establishments whose main function is to illegally sell and serve herbivore meat for the enjoyment of carnivores so that they can satisfy their predatory instincts, relieve the stress of daily life and remain functional within society, although there are also places that sell carnivore meat for consumption and for the manufacture of drugs such as restoratives. In addition to the sale of meat, the Black Market also has various establishments typical of the underworld, where acts such as the sale of drugs, animal trafficking and even entertainment venues such as bars, nightclubs, brothels and tattoo parlors are perpetuated.

   Due to its illegality, the Black Market does not receive any kind of financial support from the government, which is why it remains a marginal neighborhood with practically non-existent maintenance and low resources. Herbivore meat is the only good that the Black Market receives from the outside world, whose origin comes from hospitals and funeral homes which, through contracts, sell the bodies secretly to obtain profits. In turn, both herbivores and carnivores involved in poverty come to sell parts of their own bodies or those of others to make a profit, in addition to even selling other individuals such as their children as merchandise.

   There exists a clinic within the Black Market run by Gohin. Its primary purpose is the rehabilitation of carnivores who are at risk of or have become predatory offenders.

   The Black Market is home to four major criminal organizations. During an event known as the "Day of Depravity", they compete for domination over the Black Market.

   Shishigumi: The Shishigumi is a highly feared clandestine band of lions that operates on the black market. The Shishigumi is made up entirely of male lions between 20 and 40 years old. These have a dress code made up of two-piece suits that are mostly black. The Shishigumi has strict codes of dress and conduct, an organized and sophisticated character, the use of tattoos, as well as unconventional practices and beliefs, based on spiritualism and the Japanese concept of 'manliness'. The name "Shishigumi" comes from the Japanese 獅子 (Shishi) which literally means lion.

   Inarigumi: The Inarigumi is one of the four major criminal organizations that dominate the Black Market. The organization is made up entirely of female foxes. Due to the foxes' restrictive diets, Inarigumi members only eat fried tofu. The dress code for the Inarigumi consists of a cheongsam and high heels.

   Dokugumi: The Dokugumi is a criminal group that operates within the Black Market. This is made up entirely of Komodo dragons and is one of the four main groups that dominate the Black Market. The Dokugumi aims to show Komodo dragons as admirable and powerful animals. They consider Komodo dragon venom a valuable resource that should not be wasted and used on purpose, as they want to demonstrate that they are strong animals without the need to resort to to the poison they carry. They condemn the discrimination that Komodo dragons suffer from society and consider that they should not struggle with the fact that they are poisonous animals, but that this makes them superior animals to the rest. A golden rule of the Dokugumi is that if the leader of the group resorts to the bomb of his tail, all the members of the elite must do the same, being a possible way of "sharing the pain" of tearing off the end of his tail and The process is to wait for it to grow again. The Dokugumi also show spiritual customs and beliefs. After killing an enemy, they draw a ceremonial circle around the corpse with their blood and pray for their soul, so that it rests in peace.

    Cherryton is a boarding school, which has numerous buildings with a vast number of classrooms, clubs and such for its students. It also has four separate dormitory buildings, where the students sleep. Each one is meant for carnivores and herbivores of each gender. The room assignment is basically designed so that it is shared by animals from the same family. For example, room 701 is made up of canines (Legoshi, Jack, Collot, Durham, Miguno and Voss). Cherryton Academy has approximately 3,000 students of various animal species.

    The school comes with its own shop, which supplies uniforms, stationary, and a kiosk for quick food such as sandwiches. It also has its own theater, used for school-plays and assemblies.

    The school also has its own newspaper called the 'School Wave', which is run by the PR Department.

    Its students are all given ID cards, which are used for a variety of purposes, including photo identification, and can provide access to amenities such as borrowing books at the school library, attending school events, and receiving discounts at local stores and movie theaters.

    The school is located on top of a hill, so the city center is quite far away. The academy's emblem looks like a triangle, but it's actually a paw print. Reptiles at the school, who don't have paws, don't seem to like the emblem.

    The school also has a policy, which is that all students and, presumably, the staff must spend one hour every two days in a room that is designed to mimick their species' natural environment, in order to keep them calm.     Cherryton has its own uniform for male and female students, which is the same for both carnivores and herbivores. The school changes its uniform to fit the season. For male students

    In the cold seasons, their uniform consists of a white long-sleeved shirt, an indigo vest, dark gray tie, gray pants with a darker vertical line pattern, and brown loafers. They also have a green blazer with the school's crest on its left breast-pocket, but most students prefer not to wear it except for the odd few, such as Louis.

    In the summer, their uniform loses the shirt, vest and tie, and replaces it with a blue polo shirt.

    For female students

    In the cold seasons, their uniform consists of a white long-sleeved dress with a small bow-tie, a long, knee-length skirt, a yellow belt, white socks, and black Mary Jane shoes. The material for the uniform is supposedly thicker, thus warmer.

    In the summer, their uniform is mostly the same, except they have short sleeves that end in bunches at their shoulders. The material for it is supposedly thinner, thus cooler.

    Other uniforms

    Cherryton also has its students wear a secondary uniform, which just consists of a white shirt and a pair of red trousers or shorts. These are apparently worn during club-hours, as the Drama Club wore them during rehearsals and stage-work, and Haru from the Gardening Club wore them when she was doing her work. The males seem to wear the long-pants, while the females wear shorts.

    Reputation and rumors

    Cherryton seems to be quite a famous school, as even Gohin and the Shishigumi know about its elite status.

    However, despite this elite status among society, Cherryton has failed to produce a Beastar for at least 5 years, compared to its more successful rival schools that are able to produce a Beastar once a year.

    Despite its status as an elite school, it is not without rumors. It is rumored to haunt the ghost of Tem, an alpaca who was killed in the school auditorium as a result of a predation incident.

    Rexmas is a holiday due to the religious belief that after the fall of the meteorite that completely extinguished the dinosaurs in prehistoric times, a dinosaur (the T-Rex) came back to life, developed wings and thus evolved into a bird.     Strange Soul Festival is a festival held in odd-numbered months (January, March, May, July, September and November) It is a festival celebrated to purify the souls of herbivores, who give gratitude for not having been eaten by a carnivore this year and to pray that they will not be eaten in the future. Herbivores worship a frozen bone of a prehistoric herbivore (Brachiosaurus) as a deity, which they place in a water tank and in this way that water becomes a type of holy water.

    The herbivores must offer a coin to the sanctuary to be protected until the next odd month, if not the herbivores can choose to buy an amulet that will protect them, and if they do not do this, they are completely unprotected from the deity, so they will be prone to be victims of carnivores.

    The First Carnivore-Herbivore World War or simply known as the Carnivore-Herbivore War is the name given to the war between carnivorous animals and herbivorous animals that occurred 100 years before the current events.

    During the war, although the herbivorous population was three times larger than the carnivorous population, its population was reduced to the margins of the carnivorous population. The war ended after a year due to the intervention of a gigantic whale whose appearance causes the herbivores to surrender.

    Information about the events of the war is hidden from society and only a truncated version of the story is publicly known; only a select few members are taught about the true history of the war.

The building consists of six floors, and all the apartments are just one small room (especially cramped for large animals). Except for a series of sinks available for use, the apartments do not have bathrooms, so residents must bathe in public bathhouses.

    In society, for a property to be considered "good," it must meet two requirements: Resident Control (being exclusive to Herbivores or Carnivores) and having a significant distance from the Black Market. Therefore, Beast Apartments, being a building that allows both carnivores and herbivores to live together in the same apartment and has no restrictions for carnivores with criminal records, does not meet these criteria. The building is also located ten minutes on foot from the Black Market, so the neighborhood can be considered dangerous. Beast Apartments is also ten minutes away by train from the city center. Because the building is located so close to the Black Market, a police officer named Kona the Bouncer patrols the place regularly.

    District 0 appears to have an exaggerated admiration for the color white that so represents its residents, to the point where absolutely everything in the town is white—houses, streets, shops, clothes—everything is completely white. The obsession with radiance among the residents causes the town to be brightly lit at night, to the point where it is impossible to see the stars in the night sky due to light pollution.

    Due to their rarity, the radiants of the town seem to hold a supremacist ideology toward other species, seeing themselves as radiant and beautiful, promoting camaraderie among their fellow citizens, and considering that leaving the town would be essentially suicidal. Their ideology is so extreme that when a female resident develops spots on her fur, they demand that she can only live in the town if she has sexual relations with any male in the town who requests it, showing no remorse in degrading a fellow citizen they view as inferior. The police have little to no presence in the area.

21. #21Kopi Luwakselective

    Kopi Luwak is a research group led by Dedico the civet and his group of bats.

    Kopi Luwak is a private organization funded by its own boss, Decico. Despite being a legitimate organization, Kopi Luwak is located in the Black Market and operates clandestinely, ignoring any legal regulations for its research, possibly because these would be stopped by the government due to the institutional rejection of hybrid animals. Decico hires its bats to carry out its tasks clandestinely, such as collecting blood from hybrid animals without their consent, whether they are adults or children. Because of this, Kopi Luwak's acts of investigation have been interpreted as attacks on hybrid animals and the organization has gained a reputation as a terrifying extremist group of purebred supremacists who have an abnormal fixation on purity and seek to purge the hybrids species.

Under the influence of the bloody bones drug, carnivores are more likely to attack herbivores and commit acts of predation, due to the bloodlust that the drug provokes in them. Young carnivores are especially the most likely to fall under the effects of the bloody bones drug, because they have less control of their instincts and have repressed them for longer.

    Melon the hybrid, Shishigumi's current boss, is the creator of this drug.

It is highly effective and can be used to enhance muscle development, treat respiratory issues, improve appetite and energy, and address sports or ocular fatigue, among other things. Each part of a carnivore's body provides different effects. These healing techniques are popular and were created for wealthy, superficial, power-hungry, and physically impaired herbivores.
