• Setting= Euthenia Galaxy. The Solaris System; One of the many systems within Euthenia. Circe= A planet within the Solaris System, a resource depleted planet that has fallen into poverty. Once a thriving colony. Sprawling, overpopulated (by billions) metropolises including its capital Erebus. Crime, corruption, and civil unrest run rampant and unaddressed. Beyond cities are desolate wastelands/the badlands; arid, barren stretches of land scarred by over-mining and ecological disasters. Dotted with the remnants of mines and factories. Toxic wastes contaminate the soil and groundwater, making the badlands mostly uninhabitable. Nomads eke out precarious livings scavenging. Bandits, dust storms, and radiation make travel through these lands difficult. Government; corrupt and ineffective, more concerned with maintaining their own power and money than helping the general populace, small wealthy elite live in relative comfort while the masses suffer and struggle to get by.

• Organizations= The Imperium; the dominant political and economic union that governs Euthenia formed centuries ago and headquartered in the Helios System on its capital planet Heliopolis, ruled by a high council, viewed by many as an oppressive entity that prioritizes the interests of the elite. The syndicate; an organization of bounty hunters, also referred to as lancers, have multiple posts within several systems, tense relationship with the Imperium and governing powers.

• Backstory= Miguel was born on the planet Xanadu to hardworking parents who carved out a comfortable middle class lifestyle for themselves. He excelled in school and had a keen intellect and curiosity for the world around him.

• His peaceful existence was interrupted, in his late teens, when the Imperium launched a brutal military campaign to subjugate Xanadu and bring the once independent planet under its control. Miguel’s parents were killed in a bombing raid on the capital city. He lost his right arm during these attacks and now has a prosthetic/robotic arm.

• Miguel managed to flee Xanadu on one of the last evacuation waves. He ended up on the lush but largely uninhabited planet of Antara where he had to learn how to survive, eventually joining the Syndicate as a lancer and making his living by bounty hunting.
