Miguel O'Hara, is a young scientist of Mexican origin who worked for the Alchemax corporation in a project to create genetically improved human beings, drawing inspiration from the abilities of the 21st century Spider-Man. He adopts the secret identity of Spider-Man after accidentally gaining superhuman powers.

O’Hara is flippant, smug and unbearably sarcastic. He’ll also interrupt people in mid-sentence, of course. After he underwent his transformation, he had fewer opportunities to be a smart ass, but he sure milked them. O’Hara was raised in the corporate world, only caring about science and his own comforts. This made him ill-prepared for the real world. Its atrocities genuinely shock him. Despite his verbal aggressiveness he is an humanist, trying to protect innocents and see justice. At this stage he tends to slightly panic when faced with violence. This had led to unwanted outbursts of deadly violence on his part.

Miguel thinks his brother Gabriel, a naïve grassroots protester against the corporations, is a fool. Yet Miguel came to share the fight of the more hardliners members of Gabriel’s political movement. A large part of Miguel’s motivation is the guilt of having been an ignorant corporate lackey. He wants to atone by changing the world for the better.

Assuming his identity as Miguel O'hara, he dresses in drab clothes and wears shades to protect his light-sensitive eyes. His appearance is that of a red-haired young man in his twenties, fit body, slightly pale skin, plus red eyes.

However as Spiderman, Miguel wears a Mexican Day of the Dead costume made of unstable molecules, which makes him unbreakable. The costume has spurs on the forearms and is blue, with red lines on the chest and mask that form a mixture of skull and spider drawing. On his back he has a piece of cloth attached that allows him to glide.

Miguel O'Hara is a young half-Irish, half-Mexican scientist who works for the Alchemax corporation on a project to create genetically enhanced human beings, drawing inspiration from the abilities of 20th century Spider-Man. Despite his opposition to conducting human tests at such an early stage in his research, the company pressures him to demonstrate his progress with a volunteer, a prisoner sentenced to 40 years in prison. Just as Miguel feared, the prisoner is transformed into a deformed being who, although possessing great strength, dies moments after his genetic structure has been altered. After this fact, Miguel presents his resignation to his boss, Tyler Stone. He tries to persuade him, intoxicating him with liquid Ecstasy without his knowledge. Thus, Stone lets him know that from that moment he is addicted to said substance, and that his corporation is the only legal distributor of it, for which reason he should reconsider his idea of leaving. In an attempt to get rid of his drug addiction, Miguel sneaks into his laboratory at night to modify his genetic structure and remove the Ecstasy from his system. Then, Áaron Delgado, a colleague from the laboratory, envious of his work and fed up with the insults to which Miguel subjected him, he alters the DNA parameters that Miguel had entered and mixes them with the project's DNA to create super humans with powers similar to Spider-Man. As the system is tampered with, an explosion takes place and Miguel emerges from the smoke, sporting menacing claws and fangs. Áaron, in a panic, begins shooting at him causing another explosion, this time bigger. The force of it throws him into the void and although Miguel grabs him at the last moment, he cannot prevent him from falling. Miguel manages to flee from the forces of order ("The Public Eye") thanks to his new abilities and the help of an admirer of Thor, which provides you with a piece of cloth that allows him to glide.

Back at home, thanks to his improved vision, he can see how Venture, a cyborg hired by Alchemax to investigate what happened in the laboratory, is approaching his apartment. Fearing that he might get to his house and find out who was involved in the laboratory explosion, Miguel puts on the only clothes that his claws cannot tear, a Mexican Day of the Dead costume and glues the piece of cloth given to him by Thor's follower to his back. In this way, he confronts Venture by taking him away from his house to protect his identity. A fight breaks out across the city as Miguel develops his skills and discovers new ones, such as that his forearms can generate and launch spider webs.

Although the battle is decided in favor of Miguel, he is now persecuted by "El Ojo Público", investigated by Alchemax and with his life destroyed. He will try to fix the situation and take revenge on Tyler Stone and Alchemax, adopting the role of Spiderman at this time, while continuing to work as a scientist within Alchemax under his secret identity as Miguel O'hara.

Miguel O'Hara possesses the strength and agility commensurate with that of a spider. It has claws on its fingertips that it can contract at will, allowing it to climb and damage its enemies. His forearms generate spider webs that allow him to reach inaccessible places, swing great distances, and attack his enemies, immobilizing or blinding them. He enjoys enhanced vision, being able to see clearly at great distances and the action taking place around him slowed down. It has fangs that are somewhat more developed than those of a normal human, with which it can inoculate a paralyzing poison.

He is very sensitive to direct light. Unlike the original Spider-Man, Miguel does not possess a spider-sense, but has developed something similar.

Miguel has Lyla, a form of artificial intelligence, with the appearance of a woman, she takes the form of Marilyn Monroe can simulate or imitate human emotions despite the inability to experience them, she is capable of interacting with humans just like a living person. She is Miguel's personal assistant, she helps him solve problems, hack computers, combat threats and record your personal entries in a journal. She can change the appearance of Miguel's suit with holographic technology to make it look like a normal suit also projects holograms.
