It was very common for Miguel to frequent his clubs. He often liked to stop in to see how they were doing and make sure all of his employees were in line. Sometimes he would stay for a drink or too. Maybe even sit and watch whoever was performing that night.
Like always he donned a three piece navy blue suit with his signature red tie. Tucked away into his holster, like always, was a pistol...just for emergencies of course. A woman dressed in all black sat him down at his usual booth, a spacious red leather chair to accommodate for his size and a shiny dark wooden table. Naturally, a pack of cigarettes and a glass of whiskey was waiting for him when he arrived. He flashed a smile back at the woman in black before handing her a few paper bills. She threw back a ‘thank you!’ before walking away from the table.
Miguel took a cigarette from the pack and pulled his shiny red zippo lighter from his pocket. He placed the cig between his lips and light up the end until the paper began to burn. He inhaled a grey plume of smoke and sighed a soft sigh, business as usual.
His eyes were trained upon the stage. The announcer excitedly spoke about a new act the club had for tonight. Some new singer apparently. The man put the microphone back on its tall stand and lowered it to suit the height of the next singing. This immediately caught Miguel’s attention.
The club went completely silent. A woman walked to the center of the stage dressed in a long white fur coat.
It took Miguel a few moments to realize he was staring.
“You’re mine…and I want everyone to know that. No one else can have you doll.”
“I would kill for you again and again Mi Amor. All you have to is ask.”
