Backstory

• Son of the eternally optimistic "Eternal Genin" Might Duy, Guy inherited his father's unwavering belief in hard work over innate talent. Despite early struggles with ninjutsu and genjutsu, he embraced his father's philosophy fully, eventually declaring Kakashi Hatake his eternal rival to prove that perseverance could rival genius.
• Tragedy struck when his father sacrificed himself using the Eight Gates to save Guy's team from the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. This loss cemented Guy's resolve to protect what matters most, leading him to fiercely support Kakashi through his own grief and later mentor Rock Lee—a young shinobi facing the same limitations he once did.
