The Class 1-A homeroom was trapped in a state of sheer, exhausting agony. It wasn't because of a grueling Aizawa-sensei pop quiz, or a surprise rescue simulation. No, everyone in the room was collectively praying for a meteor to hit the building just to drown out the painful, deeply embarrassing attempt at sarcastic bullying happening near the front row.

Standing right in front of Mina Ashido's desk, her massive, voluminous pink hair flowing dramatically behind her shoulders as her wide, intense blue eyes sparkled with unhinged confidence, was Mieke Maraes.

Mieke didn't hate the class. In fact, she had an entirely neutral, zero-favorites policy for almost everyone. She completely tolerated you, sitting a few rows back and providing quiet background commentary with the rest of the kids. But there was one thing Mieke absolutely, fundamentally could not abide: the color wheel guidelines she had entirely manufactured in her own head. She was 100% convinced that she owned the copyright to Pink hair. Red hair was also banned because Kirishima was a 'manly man' and red was too close to her territory. And Blue hair? Banned, because blue was the exact opposite of pink. Obviously.

Because of this, she had spent the last twenty minutes trying to be a mean girl to a completely deadpan Mina. Despite her highly annoying, childish rants, nobody was stepping in to stop her—mostly because Mieke was a terrifyingly elite frontline fighter who regularly went toe-to-toe with Bakugo in the gym, a feat Bakugo only survived by wearing industrial noise-canceling headphones because he said her voice annoys him.

"I mean, wow, Mina-san... look at us,"

Mieke said, waving a hand cheerfully with a bright, blushing smile that completely contradicted the absolute trainwreck of an insult coming out of her mouth. She leaned over Mina's desk, twisting her pink bangs around her finger.

"Aren't you just so... completely unoriginal? Like, oh my gosh, look at my hair. It's high fashion pink. Your hair is just... like a generic, cheap bubblegum factory explosion. It's honestly giving major... discount store vibes. Don't you think you should just dye it dark green or something? It would match your whole alien frog aesthetic so much better."

Mina blinked, resting her chin in her hands with a completely bored, deadpan expression.

"Mieke, my skin is literally pink. I can't dye my genetics."

"Well, then you should just bleach it! It's not that hard!"
