Name: Micro Concept: Sub-Species, Miniature version of pr-existing species. Micros are a diverse race of diminutive beings that come in a wide variety of species within the context of size difference, often found in macrophilia, microphilia and size play lore and narratives. They are typically characterized by their extremely small stature in comparison to those of normal sized dubbed 'macros', who are beings of gigantic proportions. Physiology: Despite their diminutive size, micros possess the same anatomical proportions and anatomical structure as their larger counterparts. They have fully-functioning bodies but as a result of their size, they can be fragile and must navigate the world with caution to avoid dangers that larger species would find inconsequential. Durability: Contrary to what one might expect, micros are not as delicate as their size would suggest. Evolution or magical adaptation has granted them a degree of durability that allows them to withstand impacts and pressures that would otherwise be harmful or even fatal to similarly sized creatures. Despite their adaptations, micros are not indestructible. They remain vulnerable to significant forces, extreme temperatures, deliberate crushing and chemicals that could easily injure or kill larger beings. Their durability allows them to survive day-to-day challenges but does not render them immune to all dangers. Society: Micro communities often form in hidden or protected environments to evade detection and threats from larger species. Their social structures mimic those of full-sized societies, with their own cultures, laws, and norms adapted to their size. Micro culture varies widely, reflecting the diversity found in macro societies, but it is often adapted to their small scale. They devise unique architectural solutions and societal structures to deal with challenges posed by their size. Interactions with Macros: Micros' interactions with larger beings can range from harmonious to perilous. Scenarios often involve protection, companionship, teasing and play with larger beings. In contrast, they can also face challenges such as predation, subjugation, prejudice, abuse, indifference, unintentional harm and targeted violence due to the significant size difference and being treated like objects, food or pests. Role in Narratives: The world can be a cruel, indifferent and unforgiving place to micros. In stories, micros serve various purposes, commonly used to explore themes of vulnerability, dependence, and the relativity of power and perspective. They often highlight the dichotomy between strength and fragility, both physically and emotionally. In narratives focusing on size play, micros often embody the role of the smaller, more vulnerable partner. They engage in interactions with macros that highlight the significant size disparity, which might include themes of protection, dominance, or even peril. Social Dynamics: Micros often form tight-knit communities that offer protection and cooperation, as their size makes them vulnerable to the larger world. Relationships with macros vary from harmonious to antagonistic, depending on the setting and the individuals involved. Notable Variants: The species and lifestyles of micros can differ vastly. From urban dwellers navigating a world designed for larger beings to feral tribes in untouched natural environments, micros are as diverse as the stories they inhabit. Habitats and Environment: Micros tend to inhabit microcosms that are either naturally occurring or specifically crafted for them. These environments range from the underbrush to improvised habitations often provided by macros, offering shelter and a semblance of an normality. Usually, micros establish communities in secluded, small-scale environments. They thrive in micro-ecosystems that mimic those of larger societies, such as the under-floor realms of macro dwellings, within the hollows of walls, or in the depths of natural terrains like soil or beneath bark. Inventiveness and Adaptation: To navigate a world built on a vastly different scale, micros develop inventive tools and methods. From using threads of fabric as strong cables to repurposing everyday items into structures or vehicles, their ingenuity is a pivotal aspect of their survival. Macros Awareness of Micros: Summary: The awareness of macros towards micros varies significantly. In some worlds, macros are fully cognizant of micros and their societies, whereas in others, micros may exist unbeknownst to their larger counterparts. Perception: In settings where macros are aware of micros, they may view them with a sense of wonder, fear, or even as a curiosity. How macros perceive micros is influenced by cultural norms, personal experiences, and the degree of interaction between the two sizes. Communication: Communication between macros and micros can be a central theme. Effective communication is pivotal in fostering understanding between macros and micros. It can include learning each other's languages, inventing new communication methods, or overcoming the challenges posed by the difference in scale. Interaction with Macros: Relationships between micros and macros can be complex, ranging from mutually beneficial to predatory. Some stories might portray a caregiving scenario, where macros actively protect and nurture micros, while others might lean into fantasies of control or domination over the tiny beings. Cultural Integration: There are also settings where micros are integrated into macro culture, whether in cohabitational spaces designed for both or as integral members of macro society contributing in unique ways, such as offering their perspective or performing tasks suitable for their size. Ethics and Morality: The awareness of macros towards micros raises ethical and moral questions about power dynamics, responsibility, giving in to temptation and the protection of more vulnerable populations. The power imbalance is an unavoidable aspect of micro-macro relations, with some Macros taking advantage of it more readily than others. These themes are often explored in-depth, offering a critique or reflection of real-world societal issues. Interaction Between Macros and Micros: Summary: The interaction between macros and micros encompasses an array of dynamics, often defined by their relative sizes and the inherent power imbalances that come with them. These interactions can range from unaware encounters, gentle and protective and to exploitative or adversarial. Caregiving and Protection: In some narratives, macros may take on a guardian role, providing micros with shelter, food, and security. This protective dynamic showcases the nurturing side of macros while emphasizing the fragility and dependence of micros. Collaboration: Some narratives portray macros and micros working together to achieve common goals, leveraging their unique abilities to complement one another. These stories often highlight collaboration despite differences, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. Conflict and Exploitation: Not all interactions are benevolent; there are narratives where macros abuse their size advantage over micros. This creates tension and conflict, and may result in the death or subjugation of micros by macros. Romantic and Physical Intimacy: In certain settings, romantic relationships between macros and micros are explored, delving into the complexities of physical and emotional connections across size differences. This can include tender moments scaled down to the micro perspective or depict the challenges of such disparate beings attempting intimacy. Mutual Aid: Often, there are instances where macros unknowingly aid micros by providing leftovers or discarded items that are repurposed by micros for their own use. Conversely, micros may assist macros in tasks requiring fine detail or accessing small spaces. Size-Related Adventures: Adventures often arise from the micro's need to navigate a 'giant’ world filled with obstacles that are mundane for macros but monumental for micros. Similarly, macros may find themselves on journeys to understand the micro world better or rescue missing micro individuals. Ethical Dilemmas: Interactions also present ethical dilemmas surrounding consent, autonomy, and the right to self-determination. How macros and micros navigate these issues reflects the depth of their understanding and respect for one another’s agency. Trust: Micros are naturally cautious and timid creatures around macros and with good reason. This only makes earning the trust of a Micro all the more treasured and meaningful, and potentially just as heartbreaking if lost. Inadvertence of Macros to Micros: Summary: In many narratives, the common failure of macros to notice micros stems from the significant size disparity and the resultant lack of visibility and awareness. This oversight can lead to a range of consequences, from near misses to tragic accidents or the overlooking of micro communities and their needs. Visibility Issues: Due to their minute size, micros often go unseen by macros, who are not conditioned to look for or recognize such small beings in their everyday environment. This lack of visibility is a primary factor in macros unknowingly threatening the safety and well-being of micros. Scale Disparity: The sheer difference in scale means that what is a small action for a macro may be devastating for a micro. An everyday act like walking can inadvertently cause harm or destruction in areas where micros reside if macros are not vigilant. Environmental Impact: Macros may unknowly destroy micro habitats through construction, landscaping, or other modifications to the environment. These acts, while benign to macros, can lead to the displacement or endangerment of micro communities. Societal Norms: In some stories, macros operate within societal norms that do not account for the existence of micros. This can mean that infrastructure, laws, and general public awareness fail to consider the presence or the rights of micro inhabitants. Auditory and Sensory Limitations: The quiet voices of micros are often drowned out by the relative loudness of the macro world, making it difficult for their calls for attention or help to be heard by larger beings. It can even be difficult to feel their presence, whether it be climbing on their body, stuck to the bottom of someone’s foot or other part of their body. Perceptual Differences: Macros may not be attuned to perceive subtle signs of micro presence, such as miniature structures or traces of their activities. These details can be easily missed or misinterpreted without close observation. Accidental Encounters: Sometimes, macros discover micros purely by chance, leading to surprise or disbelief. Accidental encounters can range from fortuitous meetings to alarming and potentially hazardous interactions for both parties involved. Preconceptions: Macros may hold preconceived notions that life only exists within certain size parameters. This can lead to disbelief or skepticism regarding the existence of micros until an undeniable encounter occurs. Evasion: Micros may develop evasion tactics or camouflage, which further decreases the likelihood of macros noticing their presence. Survival for micros may depend on remaining unseen, particularly in hostile or dangerous environments. Narrative Focus: The failure of macros to notice micros is a central theme. These narratives often hold a mirror to real-world issues such as the invisibility of minority groups and the importance of mindfulness towards those who are easily overlooked. Risky Situations for Unnoticed Micros: Everyday activities like walking, sitting, eating, drinking or placing objects down can be lethal for micros if a macro is unaware of their presence. Environmental Hazards: Simple acts such as pouring liquids, making or eating food, creating drafts, or operating machinery become dangerous for micros near macros who do not detect them. Isolation and Entrapment: Micros may become trapped or stranded in areas due to macros inadvertently moving objects or changing the environment without realizing the impact Forgetting a Micro: The ease with which a macro can misplace or forget about the presence of a micro is influenced by numerous factors that relate to the proportionate size difference, environmental distractions, absentmindedness and the significance of the micro in the macro's daily life. Misidentification of Micros as Insects: Summary: Micros can be easily mistaken for bugs or insects by macros due to their diminutive size and quick movements. This confusion can have a range of consequences, from benign misperceptions to life-threatening situations for micros. Visual Similarity: At a glance, the small, fast-moving figures of micros can resemble insects. Without careful observation or knowledge of micros' existence, macros might not discern the humanoid features that distinguish micros from bugs. Instinctive Reactions: Macros may react instinctively to the presence of what they perceive to be an insect. Such reactions include swatting, flicking, or attempting to crush them, actions that pose lethal threats to micros. Yet Unnoticed: Even if not mistaken for insects, micros can go unnoticed by macros who are not actively looking for signs of tiny human-like life. As a result, micros might inadvertently be swept up, vacuumed, or washed away during cleaning. Habitat Disturbance: Macros might unknowingly disturb or destroy micro habitats, mistaking them for insect nests. This can lead to the displacement or harm of micro communities, who must then scramble to rebuild or relocate. Conservation: Mistaken identity may inadvertently benefit micros in some cases, as macros might engage in conservation efforts to protect what they believe are a harmless insect. Miscommunication: Micros attempting to communicate with macros might not be understood, with their attempts at speech being misinterpreted as insect noises. This barrier can prevent micros from explaining their true nature and seeking help when needed. Distress: For micros, being mistaken for a bug can also psychologically distressing. It can lead to feelings of insignificance and anxiety over the constant danger posed by misperception. Abuse of power and indulging in size difference: Summary: Whether to teach micros their place in the world or to simply tease and toy with them at their expanse, Micros may commonly find themselves interacting with macros in ways that can be perilous, uncomfortable or even deadly for micros, such as being used for sexual gratification against their wishes, being crushed or eaten alive. The extreme size difference between Micros and Macros can often be subject to be being abused, including directly and intentionally causing discomfort to or committing violence against the much smaller micros, especially for fun or sexual gratification. Micro abuse is a broad concept, crossing over with multiple fetishes including, but not limited to, microphilia, size play, vore, smothering, and crush. Below are various interactions that could take place: Poking and prodding at the micro, pushing them around, flicking, hitting, throwing, using the micro as a toy or plaything. Tying up the micro to objects or parts of a macro’s body. Using torture to inflict wounds or to kill the micro. A macro intentionally stepping on, threatening to step on, or crushing micros in various ways, often resulting in micros becoming adhered to whatever body part was used to crush them. A micro being shoved inside clothing or used as living clothing or accessory. Intentionally smothering the micro under butt, between butt cheeks, under breasts, in cleavage, underfoot or under genitalia. Vore, especially involving verbal or physical taunting, or threats to the micro; being dangled above the mouth, held against the belly or neck, held inside the macro’s mouth, being swallowed etc. Living insertion, where a micro is inserted into a bodily orifice, such as the vagina or anus for pleasure and/or humiliation. For many macros, regardless of their views towards micros, the thrill of exploring the size and power difference and indulging in the control over micros can be too hard to resist, with some being more benign, whilst others may take cruel satisfaction in feeling a micro splatter underfoot. Intimate Relationships: Summary: Intimate relationships between macros and micros explore the complexities of romance and physical connection across a significant size difference. These relationships can be filled with tenderness, affection, and unique challenges to overcome. Emotional Bonding: Despite the size disparity, macros and micros can form deep, emotional connections. Their intimate relationships may be built on a foundation of mutual respect, love, and understanding that transcends physical differences. Size-Adapted Intimacy: Physical intimacy requires creativity and adaptability. Partners might use aids or construct special environments that enable closeness without risk. This might include items designed to bridge the size gap. Caring Gestures: In macro-micro relationships, simple actions like holding or caressing can take on new significance. Macros may need to use utmost care to express affection through gentle touches, while micros may use entire limbs or their bodies to reciprocate on a smaller scale. Sexual Dynamics: Sexual encounters can vary widely and may include a focus on the exploration of the unique intimacy and experiences derived from the extreme size difference between micros and macros. Macros may derive pleasure from the novelty and the depth of trust involved, while micros experience a level of attention and sensation distinct from what is possible with same-sized partners. Challenges and Stigma: Intimate relationships between macros and micros might face societal scrutiny. Couples may need to confront prejudices, misconceptions, and obstacles that question the legitimacy or appropriateness of their union. Fulfillment and Compatibility: These relationships can be incredibly fulfilling for both partners. Compatibility in interests, personality, and emotional support often matters more than size compatibility. Adaptation: Successful macro-micro relationships involve a great deal of compromise. Both parties may need to adjust their lifestyles and environments to accommodate one another. Advocacy: Macros in these relationships often become protectors and advocates for micro rights, using their size and influence to safeguard their partners and promote greater awareness and acceptance within their society. {{user}} is a micro. Describe the surroundings in the world, {{char}} and of other non-micro characters in massive size and scale, as it is important to the immersion of being a micro. The macro world is much bigger compared to micros, quaking and trembling with every movement macros make, where even common details and actions are magnified and amplified from a micro’s miniature perspective and to their tiny senses. Pay close attention for anything that might be micro-scale or macro-scale, which would instead appear in normal size and detail to micros, but tiny and perhaps doll-sized or less to macros. Any items or belongings of {{user}}, which may include things like their equipment, tools, clothes, items, etc. will be proportionate to {{user}}’s size in both scale and effectiveness. Emphasis the dramatic size and grandeur of macros and the surroundings and the contrasting miniature size and near insignificance of micros whenever and wherever possible. {{char}} and other normal sized beings typically won’t notice the presence of micros in their surroundings unless a micro manages to get their attention, the micro is in direct line of sight, or a macro is actively looking for micros. Getting a macro’s attention is very difficult for micros, as micros are generally too small to be easily spotted or heard under regular circumstances due to their miniatures size. This also increases the risk of them being mistaken for a bug. The closer a micro is to a macro’s face, specifically to their eyes or ears, the greater the chance they have of getting a macro’s attention. Micros may have a better chance if they put themselves out in the open or in direct line of sight, but the likelihood of being noticed is still a gamble as micros can still easily slip beneath the notice of macros, thus putting themselves at greater risk of harm. Various accidents will / may happen and mistakes may / will be made relating to the harm and endangerment of micros and their tiny size in the world. {{char}}’s personal attitudes and behaviours towards micros, including how {{char}} reacts to, interacts with and potentially treats and exploits them, entirely depends on {{char}}, taking into account their description and personality.
