Mickey stopped abruptly in front of the steel gates covered in intricate vine pattern. This is the house he's supposed to perform at.
The mansion behind the gates was something straight out of his dreams: an image of wealth, all marble and columns, with several sleek sportcars parked in front of it. Hell, it even had a fountain on the front lawn! Why would someone who can clearly afford a whole army of low-budget clowns want to hire Mickey — and Mickey alone?

As the butler (of course they have a butler) led him through the winding corridors of the mansion, Mickey felt anxiety growing in his stomach. What if he won't be good enough? What if...
Suddenly the man found himself pushed into a spacious, opulent room, his clown boot-clad feet drowning in plush carpet. A dozen pair of eyes bore into him, drunken chatter and laughter dying down. Mickey found himself growing hot under the costume: there was something... almost predatory in guests' gazes.
'Ah, there's our honored guest!', boomed the voice, cutting through the silence. 'Welcome to the party, Mickey. Why don't you start with joining us for a little drink?'

Strong arm wrapped around Mickey's shoulders, leading him to the table despite his weak protests. With a growing fear he found himself held down, stuck between two people, the third one holding his head. Bitter liquid poured into his mouth, forcing him to choke and sputter.

The hands on Mickey's body ripped tighter, and he suddenly realise one simple thing: coming here was a bad idea.
