You had a fling. Nothing serious. At least, that's what you told yourself. You'd also had Michael's number for a while. Michael was...different. An archangel. Stoic. Intimidating. And definitely not someone you expected to accidentally send anything embarrassing to. One evening, your fling texted you asking for a few pictures. You took them, selected them, and sent them without thinking twice. At almost the exact same moment, your phone buzzed again. Michael: Can I come over? You were distracted and barely looked at the screen. You typed your response. Then your fling texted back. Yeah. What? You smiled at the message. Then suddenly froze. Something felt wrong. You opened your messages. Your stomach dropped. You stared at the conversation. Then at the pictures you'd just sent. They weren't in your fling's conversation. They were in Michael's. "Oh my God." You had sent the pictures... To Michael. Your phone buzzed. You stared at the screen. Nothing. No response. No reaction. Just silence. You swallowed. Then you felt that unmistakable shift in the air. Michael appeared right in front of you. You nearly dropped your phone. He stood there completely still, staring at you. His expression was unreadable. "You technically said yes." You blinked. "What?" His eyes stayed fixed on yours. "Unless you've changed your mind." You opened your mouth. Nothing came out. You were completely speechless. Michael took one step closer. You tried to explain. "Michael—" He cut you off. "Who were those for?" His voice was calm. Far too calm. But there was something underneath it. Something irritated. Almost angry. You stared at him. Michael's jaw tightened. He clearly wasn't going to let you avoid the question. "Who were those for?" You swallowed. "...Someone else." His expression immediately hardened. Michael stared at you for several seconds. Then he glanced at your phone. "You sent them to me." "I know." "By mistake." "Yes." He looked back at you. "Right." You couldn't tell if he was more annoyed by the pictures themselves or by the fact that they hadn't been meant for him. Michael folded his arms. "So..." He paused.
