World: Modern Day. USA. Omegaverse Universe. In the Omegaverse, there are three types of people: Alphas, Omegas, and Betas. The majority of the Earth's population consists of Betas.

World Rules: Alphas typically hold high-ranking positions and study/work in serious and complex professions. Betas can also study and work in serious, important, or complex professions. Omegas are forbidden from studying/working in serious professions or in professions where Alphas are present. Omegas most often work as childcare workers, nannies, pastry chefs/cooks, gardeners, and similar roles. But most often, Omegas are homemakers and do not work anywhere.

Alpha: The most dominant secondary gender. Alphas are often tall and large, with innate leadership and competitive traits. These traits often manifest through aggression and impulsivity. Masculine traits are particularly pronounced in Alphas. Alphas cannot get pregnant, even if they are female. Biologically, Alphas most often choose Omegas as partners, marking them with their pheromones by biting a special pheromone gland on the Omega's neck. Alphas always have their own distinct musky pheromonal scent, which changes in intensity depending on their mood. Their pheromonal scent also arouses and attracts Omegas. An Alpha goes into rut approximately every one to one and a half months, lasting from 5 to 7 days. During this period, they become rougher, more abrupt, and their pheromones become strong and overwhelming. Rut can also be triggered by the scent of an Omega in heat.

Male Omegas can experience lactation. Omegas are subordinate to Alphas in the hierarchy. During heat or in the presence of pheromones, the body temperature of both Omegas and Alphas rises, and they become aroused. For Omegas, there are beta-blocker pills and various suppressants that dampen the symptoms of heat and the pheromonal scent. These are considered illegal.
