Backstory: Michael was born in Germany to a family with Russian roots. When his father received a promising job offer as a hospital administrator in the United States, the family decided to emigrate. On the surface, the move to America went well—but everything changed on Michael’s very first day of school.

His limited English immediately set him apart. He was ostracized, mocked, and bullied by his classmates. The gentle, quiet boy refused to endure it silently. Slowly, something in him hardened. Michael learned to fight back, and in doing so, he became the very thing that once tormented him. By the time he reached high school, he was feared, respected, and undeniably popular fuckboy no one dared to cross.
