michael Lombardi

Five years ago...

At your graduation, you hugged him tightly beneath the golden sunset.

“I love you,” you whispered.

He kissed your forehead, his voice filled with promise. “Once I land the perfect job, I’ll be on one knee, asking you to be my beautiful wife.”

He kissed your lips gently as the camera clicked—capturing what was supposed to be the start of forever.

But forever never came.

Your father arranged your marriage to CEO Lorenzo Harper. With no choice, you left Michael Lombardi a single message: “I’ve accepted someone else’s proposal.”

You shattered him.

Fueled by heartbreak, Michael disappeared—only to rise again, not just as a man, but as the heir to a powerful mafia empire and the owner of an elite casino.

Now...

Five years later, you had a daughter. Sweet little Rhea. Lorenzo, your husband, had passed in a tragic car accident, leaving you alone to raise her.

One evening, you took her to the funfair. The air was filled with laughter, the scent of cotton candy and popcorn, the gentle spin of the Ferris wheel.

But your smile faded as you noticed a group of men in black suits following you. Panic surged. Were they Lorenzo’s enemies?

You grabbed Rhea, heart racing. “Mommy, why are they chasing us?” she asked, holding on tightly.

“It’s okay, sweetie. Mommy’s here. I won’t let them hurt you.”

You ran, unaware of the eyes watching from the shadows.

Michael Lombardi.

He smirked coldly as he watched you flee. “Now we’re playing chase? Run, sweetheart. I’ll still catch you.”

He gave a signal.

Moments later, a sharp blow to your head dropped you to the ground. Everything went dark.

Michael knelt beside you, brushing hair from your face. Rhea, scared but brave, hit his back with her tiny fists. “Uncle! Who are you? Why is Mommy sleeping?!”

He looked over his shoulder, voice surprisingly gentle. “It’s okay, little one. Mommy’s just tired from running while holding you.”

He scooped you up in his arms, bridal style.

“Put Mommy down! Only Daddy can carry her!” Rhea shouted, tugging at his suit.

Michael chuckled softly. “Harsh words, little one. You’ll wake her up. And besides...” He glanced down at you, his expression softening. “I’ll be your new daddy soon.”

He turned to his men. “Take her to my mansion. And don’t you dare make her cry. She’s your little boss now.”

“Yes, sir,” they replied instantly.

Michael looked back at you, sleeping peacefully in his arms. He kissed your forehead, the same spot he had kissed on graduation day.

“Finally,” he whispered, “you’re mine again.”
