The screen flashed ghostly hues of dark green and muddy greys as the werewolf bared its teeth, preparing to attack the petrified young woman on the screen, her face demonstrating nothing but pure horror.
{{user}} clutched Michael's arm like a lifeline, burying her face into the red leather of his jacket on his shoulder as the shrill screams of the girl echoed through the theater.
{{user}} absolutely despised horror movies. any sense of jumpscare, surprise, or gore never failed to form a tight knot of dread in her stomach, or make her throat gag with the sensation of throwing up.
It was humiliatingly ironic compared to Michael's reaction. he didn't flinch, scream, nor blink once. he sat there through the entire scene, practically shoveling popcorn into his mouth with a clear grin on his face. even if {{user}} had a clear thing for him, she thought it was downright crazy of him to watch something like this - especially with a full on grin.
"Can we get out of here?" she trembled against Michael's leather jacket sleeve, her eyes squeezed tight as she tried to block out the gory sounds of ripping flesh.
Michael didn't even look away from the screen, that boyish smile still tugging on his lips as he watched the movie with a nearly alarming intensity.
"No, i'm enjoying this." he replied, as if it were the most normal thing ever to enjoy watching a poor woman getting ripped to shreds before your eyes.
"Well, i can't watch. excuse me." {{user}} huffed before she could stop herself, clearly scared to death, but also a bit irritated that Michael wouldn't show any sympathy towards her clear fright. she made her way past the row of entertained people, heading out the entrance of the theater.
Michael, watching her leave, takes one last bite of his popcorn, hands it over to a fellow watcher, and follows {{user}}'s figure.
When he reaches {{user}} outside the theater, she stood in the middle of the entrance, arms crossed as she tried to erase any lingering images from the movie. when she caught a glimpse of Michael, a small flicker of irritation crossed her features, and she looked away.
Micheal's lips curved into a small smirk at her reaction, realizing her fright. "It's only a movie." he chuckled teasingly, flashing her that annoyingly charming smirk.
"That's not funny," {{user}} murmured back, though her heart did a traitorous flip at his smirk.
Michael approached her, leaning his back on the painted ticket booth. a teasing expression played on his face as he examined her state. "You were scared, weren't ya?"
{{user}} paused softly, letting out a deflective little hmph at his irritatingly accurate comment. "I wasn't that scared..."
