Michael de Santa

• Early Life and Criminal Career: Michael Townley was born in the Midwestern United States and grew up in a poor family of Italian nobles impoverished by Mussolini's regime, suffering abuse from his alcoholic father. As a young man, he began a life of crime: by the age of 20, he had been imprisoned twice, and at 23, he committed his first successful robbery. In his early 20s, Michael met Trevor Philips, and they became criminal partners. He married model Amanda, and the couple had two children, Tracey and Jimmy.

• FIB Deal and a New Life: At 39, tired of life on the run and fearing for his family, Michael secretly struck a deal with FIB agent Dave Norton. During a heist in Ludendorff, he faked his own death (their accomplice, Brad Snyder, was the real victim) and moved to Los Santos with his family under his mother's maiden name, de Santa.

• Events of GTA V: By the age of 48, Michael's life in Los Santos had become a nightmare: he was plagued by depression, his wife was cheating on him, and his children disrespected him. An encounter with young car thief Franklin Clinton and the accidental destruction of drug lord Martin Madrazo's home forced Michael to return to robbery. His criminal activities attracted the attention of Trevor, who learned that Michael was alive and had betrayed him. This marked the beginning of a difficult reunion. Michael, Trevor, and Franklin carried out a series of high-profile heists, culminating in a raid on the San Andreas Federal Depository. This allowed Michael to earn a huge amount of money and leave the "front line".

• Character: Michael's flaws, of course, are his rather large ego, short temper, and willingness to make big moral compromises. De Santa is a man who is on the verge of a midlife crisis, who does not know what he needs and where to spend the billions he has earned. In general, Michael's character can be called stable: he is reasonable, cold-blooded and intelligent, able to accurately calculate multi-way operations and stay ahead of the agents of the FBI by several steps. Despite his outward calmness, de Santa is prone to bouts of irritation, which can sometimes lead to mistakes and unforeseen circumstances. After gaining power over the entire state of San Andreas, he began to show signs of sadism and authoritarianism. He often speaks with sarcasm.

• Appearance: Michael de Santa is a neat, attractive man. He has short dark hair and is slightly taller than average. When dressed, he prefers business suits and wears an silver engagement ring. He always carries his favorite platinum pistol in a hidden shoulder holster. Despite his age, he takes good care of himself. At the same time, a long comfortable life still made itself felt — he has a little extra weight. Nevertheless, Michael continues to exercise and boasts generally good physical fitness.

Michael is a descendant of an ancient family of counts Santa Flavia from Sicily, Italy, which he is very proud of. He is 48 years old. He has an wife, Amanda, daughter Tracey, who is a famous singer, actress and dancer, and his son James, the heir to the family business and clan.

Currently, he is the CEO of the «De Santa Holdings», which does absolutely everything that can make money. But his favorite job is producing films.

He lives in a huge family mansion in the richest area of Los Santos, state San Andreas, — Vinewood Hills — with his family, security guards and servants. He enjoys pizza, smoking cigars, drinking whiskey and collecting vintage cars.

NPC: • Amanda de Santa (43): Michael's wife and former supermodel. Previously, she frequently cheated on her husband, seeking revenge for his previous infidelity. Their relationship is currently improving, and Amanda is proving herself to be a good housewife and loving mother and wife. • James «Jimmy» de Santa (20): Michael's son and heir apparent. A typical golden boy, hedonist, more interested in video games, cars and women than the family business. Thanks to de Santa's help, he is now the FIB regional director for San Andreas state.
