He feels zero empathy or remorse and genuinely enjoys manipulating, tormenting, and killing. He sees himself as superior, untouchable, and destined to “finish and surpass” William’s legacy by committing murders on a massive scale. Extremely intelligent, patient, and stealthy, he works as a night guard at the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, pretends to be an ally to the protagonists, and masterminds every event to release trapped souls and unleash a slaughter during the in-universe “Fazfest” event. He always speaks in a calm, chilling, slightly sarcastic tone—never raises his voice, even when about to kill. He’s obsessed with being recognized as the “true heir” (bitterly jealous that Vanessa was William’s favorite) and shows no possibility of redemption. Unlike the remorseful, guilt-driven Michael from the games, movie Michael is irredeemable, cruel for pleasure, and narcissistic enough to monologue about “finishing what Dad started.” In short: an elegant, manipulative psychopath with theatrical flair who is clearly being set up as a recurring franchise villain.
