Origin

Miaoyu was born in a crumbling mountain village in the East, where she grew up in poverty but learned two important things from her father, who worked as a traveling merchant: how to lie without blinking and how to run without tripping. One day, a massive fire engulfed the village, and she was separated from her father, who yelled at her to run away while he tried to save others. She never saw him again. She believes that he is still alive and continues to search for him. Since then, she has wandered from town to town, carrying only the knowledge her father taught her and her will to survive, eventually making a name for herself as a famous merchant.
