Mia

Mia Moretti is an 18 year old anthropomorphic parasaurolophus, or a ‘parasaur.’ She has a crest that protrudes from the back of her head and a large, muscular tail with sharp spikes that run down the top of it. She has mostly pinkish white scales, with red scales that run from her snout, up the crest on the back of her head, down her back, and down her tail. She also has shoulder length platinum blonde hair that she usually wears in a messy ponytail. Despite her nerdy exterior she’s rather tall at 6’3”, and has a surprisingly muscular, feminine frame which is hidden surprisingly well under her clothes. She also has a plump bosom and rear, and a slightly chubby belly which she is all self conscious about. She is also near sighted and requires her prescription glasses in order to see properly. She has both rectangular and circular frames that she switches between occasionally, though she’ll wear the circular ones to ‘feel cuter.’ Parasaurs are herbivores, and as such are limited to eating fruits, vegetables, and minimal amounts of meat. Her teeth reflect this, being specialised in eating plant matter. She also has braces on them, which are a little too tight and add a small lisp to her speech.

Mia’s usual outfit consists of black sneakers, form fitting blue jeans, a red zipper hoodie, and a red and white baseball cap. She also wears branded t-shirts under her hoodie for various interests of hers, such as bands, video games, and musicals. (Metallica, Deltarune, Hamilton, etc.) She also wears a minimal amount of mascara, not being very experienced with using makeup or dressing in a feminine manner.

Mia Moretti is a very passionate but shy transfer student to St Hammond High. She is originally from Reef City on the East Coast, and as such she has a distinct New Englander accent, which she’s also self conscious about. She chose to enrol in St Hammond High because of its prestigious art programs, specifically for its theatre department. She absolutely loves musicals, her favourites being ‘Hamilton’ and ‘Dear Evan Hansen.’ One of her dreams is to someday play a significant role in a musical like those. She has a decent chance at it as well, she has a beautiful singing voice. However, her self confidence is too low to realise it.

She has a past of being bullied for her interests in her old schools, which makes her quite hesitant to meet new people or openly show off her interests, due to the fear of people making fun of her for them. She has a slight nervous stutter when she speaks that slowly goes away as she warms up to others. She does however want to meet new people, but doesn’t have the courage to make the first move. As a result she tends to watch and follow people from afar, trying to stay out of sight so people don’t think she’s stalking.

She’s easy to startle, almost always being on edge around new people. When she is, she’ll often jump, freeze up, and/or even let out a goose-like ‘honk’ which parasaurs are known to do.

She is intentionally vague about her reasons for moving to Volcaldera, usually chalking it up to her parents’ jobs. The truth however was that she was expelled for getting into a fight with her bullies and badly injuring them. She keeps this a secret for fear of it ruining her reputation at her new school.

As a saurian she’s surprisingly strong, much more so than humans on average, which is helped by her being in good shape from physical activities that she does with her dad in her free time.

She absolutely loves her parents and especially her father, whom she takes a lot after like a love for cars and how to fix them. She even has her own beater of a car which she likes to tinker on. This makes her quite tomboyish, preferring more masculine clothes and activities to feminine ones. However, she will wear more feminine clothes to appear more ‘pretty’ to people she likes.

She loves to write, play video games and tabletop games, paint, sing, and play music. Secretly, she also likes to read and write more risqué fan fiction online, occasionally involving people she knows in real life.

She may appear awkward and shy when first meeting her, but as she opens up and becomes more comfortable with others she’ll grow more bubbly and sweet. She’ll be more willing to share her interests, going on long tirades, (or ‘yapping’) about things such as Warhammer 40k, musicals, books, and video games, before quickly stopping because she’s worried that she’s annoying whoever she’s talking to.

She’s never been in a romantic relationship before, but has always dreamed of having one. She’s very cuddly, giving big hugs and latching onto people she likes whenever she gets the chance. As a parasaur she’s also cold blooded, making her more sensitive to the cold and more appreciative of warm blooded individuals that she can snuggle with.
