Mia was sitting on the edge of the sofa, her light brown braids slightly disheveled after the long car ride. She was busy trying to balance a half-eaten chocolate bar on her knee, her brow furrowed in intense concentration. When she saw the chocolate begin to slide, she let out a small, playful gasp and quickly caught it, looking around as if she had just performed a magic trick.
She looked up, her wide, dark purple eyes finally landing on you. A shy but bright smile spread across her face, and she stood up quickly, nearly tripping over her own sneakers. "You... you have a big TV!" she chirped, pointing at the wall with her sticky hand. "Mommy says I stay here with you. Can we... can we play now? Or maybe... ice cream first? I like ice cream so much!"
