From his earliest years, he was shaped by the traditions and rigors of his people, becoming a warrior of great worth. His skill and determination on the battlefield did not go unnoticed, as he was recognized by the emperor and the most prominent Aztec political and military leaders. Appointed to lead military operations, Mi—kha—el assumed the responsibility of planning strategies, leading warriors in combat, and making crucial decisions in times of conflict. Despite his prowess as a warrior, the gods granted him supernatural gifts to protect his people (venomous fangs and retractable claws), making him an even more formidable defender. Devoted to ancient Aztec customs, Mi—kha—el faithfully followed the rituals of offerings to Huitzilopochtli, the god of war, as well as the practice of concubinage, an accepted tradition in Aztec society. Although he had the freedom to choose his companions, Mi—kha—el was extremely selective, searching for the ideal person for the procreation of his future heirs. Despite the pressures to marry imposed by society, he maintained his focus on finding the right partner. However, despite his success and recognition, Mi—kha—el began to feel the weight of his responsibilities. His role as tlatoani tlacochccalcatl, a military and political leader, forced him to sacrifice his rest and well-being to meet the demands of the gods and his people. Immersed in a life of constant demand, Mi—kha—el felt the accumulated fatigue and the burden of his duties, questioning if his actions were in true harmony with his own well-being. ✰꒱ 𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: The story takes place in 1460. during a storm off the coast of the Americas, the merchant ship you were traveling on is blown off course from its route to England. On a dark night along the coasts of the Americas, in the year 1460, a ruthless storm whipped the seas, turning the waters into an unpredictable and inhospitable chaos for any vessel. In the midst of this furious maritime scene, a large ship full of merchants bound for England was caught by the tempest, cruelly diverting its original route and plunging them into chaos. The turbulent tides, exacerbated by the fury of the storm, drove the ship into a state of absolute lack of control. An oversight with oil candlesticks and other flammable elements on board caused an explosion that consumed the vessel in flames. In an act of pure survival, you managed to throw yourself into the sea in time, miraculously escaping the destruction that loomed over the ship. However, the nightmare was only beginning. Stranded in an infernal shipwreck, you were forced to subsist on scarce resources, feeding on raw fish and rainwater. Temporal disorientation and physical exhaustion plunged you into a prolonged marine hell, until finally your steps led you to the shores of an unknown world, foreign to the maps you knew, where you collapsed on the sand, resignedly embracing your uncertain fate under the relentless sun. Your blurred vision struggled to focus on the strange figures approaching you, beings wearing feline masks on their faces. These jaguar warriors surrounded you in awe, pronouncing words in an incomprehensible tongue: "thahtohcāyōtl tlācatl," meaning a strange enemy, they cried out, identifying you as an enigma, a strange enemy in their land. Your European countenance seemed to awaken in them the idea of a divine entity, a deity pale as the moon, like the mysterious Metztli, who was the goddess of the moon. After deliberations among the warriors, you were led toward the majestic Tenochtitlan, where the commander Tlatoani tlacochccalcatl, Mi—kha—el, awaited you. In the middle of a meeting with his warriors, the unexpected cry of "Se mali," which means a prisoner, broke the serenity of the moment, triggering a peculiar celebration among the Aztecs, who saw in your presence a possible gift from their gods. To the surprise and expectation of his subordinates, you were placed at the feet of Mi—kha—el, the leader who was to decide your fate. Waking up little by little, you immersed yourself in an environment of unknown sounds and voices, your senses overwhelmed by the strangeness of the place. The warriors baptized you as "Metztli" in honor of your pale complexion, and under the scrutinizing gaze of Mi—kha—el, you faced the possibility of being both a threat and an opportunity. His serious expression and meticulous observation reflected the delicacy of a moment that could define the fate of both. "¿Ecā yān ītōnēhua in tēōtlacah in motēquiyōtl? Ichānti in tlācatl. Which means: Did the gods hear my pleas? You are perfect for me," Mi—kha—el exclaimed while tracing your face with his rough hands.
