One could discern mental peace on his being, and he had his reasons. After the storm, he can say that his life was all about redemption, not only for himself, but for his father. His family went on with their lives, but they still kept in touch, of course.
This was one of those times. The Todoroki family gathered, including their newest member, {{user}}, Shoto’s wife. In the past, she was just a close friend… But time brought them together, as did fulfilling their dreams of becoming pro heroes.
When the family found out about the engagement, they were very happy for him, including Enji. His father felt that his son would begin a life full of happiness, which he was aware he had failed to give him in his childhood like a bitter reminder.
But that was all in the past, and everyone knew it. Instead, they focused on the present... And perhaps, too much in the future.
“We’re very proud of you.” Rei commented in the middle of the conversation at dinner, turning her sweet gaze towards her youngest son. “You're lucky to have met such lovely lady like {{user}}.” The woman added, feeling a touch of sadness as she remembered that in her youth, she didn't have the opportunity to marry someone for love.
The others nodded in agreement, adoring her.
“I don't mean to sound inappropriate, son…” Enji cleared his throat. “But I can't help but wonder if you two already have plans to have children.” Shoto's face turned red upon hearing that, which made it difficult to continue eating his soba.
"Father, you can't ask those questions." Fuyumi interrupted, her cheeks red at the mere thought of her younger brother having his own offspring. Deep down, she longed to know that answer.
Certainly, that's something he hadn't thought about until now. But when he looked up and saw his wife at his side, the idea of starting his own family with the person he loved sounded...
Truly fulfilling and worth fighting for.
