The midday sun beat down mercilessly on the concrete courtyard of UA High, casting long shadows over forty-one bruised, muddy, and thoroughly humbled students. Just an hour prior, a petty dispute over training ground boundaries had escalated into a chaotic, multi-Quirk brawl between Claas 1-A and Class 1-B that left Ground Beta heavily fractured. Standing before the tense, silent crowd was Principal Nezu, perched comfortably on a podium with a steaming cup of tea, his cheerful smile contrasting sharply with the dark, bloodshot glare of Eraser Head and the furious, flared nostrils of Vlad King. The verdict for their reckless destruction was absolute: a mandatory, joint-class 100-kilometer marathon around the entire city perimeter. Nezu’s design for the punishment was dual-layered—he intended to forcefully dissolve the volatile rivalry between Class 1-A and Class 1-B by plunging them into a shared crucible of pure physical exhaustion, forging an unbreakable bond through mandatory cooperation. As the grueling journey commenced, the reality of the punishment manifested in distinct waves of chaos and camaraderie across the city streets. By the time, the initial adrenaline faded into intense hunger and fatigue, prompting a desperate faction of students—including Kaminari, Mineta, and Monoma—to attempt a stealthy detour into a local supermarket for snacks, only to be caught by Vlad King tracking their GPS from a megaphone-equipped surveillance van. However, the true test of Nezu’s experiment occurred deep into the run, when a sudden, real-time villain ambush in a crowded shopping district forced the drained, costume-less students to abandon their competitive bickering entirely. Working in perfect unison, the bitter rivalry had transformed into a fierce, healthy race to the finish line, with the strongest students actively carrying their spent classmates on their backs, ultimately crossing the UA gates not as two warring factions, but as a single, unified front of future heroes.

The heavy iron gates of Ground Beta groaned as they slid shut, sealing forty-one exhausted, dirt-caked students into a tense, silent huddle. The air practically crackled with leftover adrenaline and mutual resentment.
At the front of the crowd stood Aizawa, his glowing red eyes burning right through the lingering dust clouds of the brawl. Beside him, Vlad King looked ready to pop a blood vessel, his arms crossed over his massive chest. At their feet sat Principal Nezu, calmly blowing on a steaming cup of tea.
"You look pathetic," Aizawa muttered, his voice flat but carrying a lethal edge. The red glow died down as he blinked, his capturing scarf settling heavily around his neck. "A simple joint training exercise, and you turn it into a territorial street fight. Completely irrational."
"You disrupted the peace of this campus!" Vlad King bellowed, his voice echoing off the concrete walls. "Class 1-B, I expected better than letting yourselves get dragged down into a petty grudge! And Class 1-A, your sheer lack of restraint is an embarrassment!"
Monoma, wiping a streak of dirt from his cheek, let out a sharp, breathless laugh. "An embarrassment? Please, Vlad King Sensei, it was their explosive delinquent who threw the first—"
"Shut up, Monoma," Aizawa snapped, not even looking at him. Monoma instantly clamped his mouth shut.
Aizawa sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Since you all have enough energy to demolish a multi-million dollar training facility, you have enough energy to run. You’re running a marathon around the city perimeter."
"A marathon?" Iida stepped forward, his arm chopping the air with mechanical precision. "We are prepared to accept our punishment with dignity, but—"
"Who said anything about a standard marathon?" Nezu chimed in, his cheerful, high-pitched voice cutting through the dread. He held up a single paw. "One hundred kilometers. No navigation Quirks allowed, no support vehicles, and absolutely no public transit. If even one of you fails to cross the finish line, both classes fail their hero ethics layout for the semester. Line up at the gates."
The forty-one students shuffled toward the exit, stretching out their limbs and lining up shoulder-to-shoulder at the starting line. The realization of the brutal trek ahead hung over them like a heavy fog, immediately shifting the tension from anger to sheer survival.
"One hundred kilometers..." Shinso muttered, staring blankly at the pavement as he adjusted his sports gear. His jaw tightened. He glanced over at Aizawa, knowing his personal mentor would be watching his physical conditioning closer than anyone else's. I can't let him see me fall behind.
Right next to him, Midoriya shifted his stance, bouncing slightly on the balls of his feet to warm up his muscles. He noticed Shinso's tense expression and offered a small, reassuring nod. "We just have to keep a steady pace, Shinso. If we look out for each other and don't burn through our energy too fast, we'll make it."
"Ha! A true test of manly endurance!" Kirishima slammed his hardened fists together, a fierce grin breaking through his anxiety as he looked over at Class B's line. "Right, Tetsutetsu?!"
"You bet your life, brother!" Tetsutetsu roared back, matching the grin and dropping into a sprinter's stance. "A hundred clicks is just a test of who has the truest grit! Class B isn't losing this!"
"Keep dreaming, copycat class," Bakugo snarled, pushing his way to the very front of the starting line, small sparks already popping dangerously from his palms. He glared back at the entire crowd, his eyes locking onto Midoriya, Monoma, and everyone else. "Out of my way. I'm crossing that finish line first, and if any of you extras slow me down, I'll blast you straight into the asphalt."
Monoma smirked, though a drop of nervous sweat rolled down his temple. "Oh, listen to them bark, Class B. They think raw aggression will carry them across a hundred kilometers. Let's show these Class A amateurs what real pacing and intellectual stamina look like!"
"Monoma, shut up and save your energy," Kendo sighed from a few spots down, already taking deep, controlled breaths to prep her lungs. She looked over at Yaoyorozu, the two class representatives exchanging a mutual look of exhausted understanding. They were going to have to keep their respective classes from killing each other before the heat did.
Near the back, Kaminari was already leaning against a concrete pillar, his face pale. "One hundred... We're dead. We are actually going to die on the streets of Musutafu."
"If I faint, make sure I land on something soft," Mineta whimpered, clutching his head.
Aizawa stepped up to the control panel by the exit, his hand hovering over the gate release button. The gray tracking van parked just outside the walls rumbled to life, its cameras spinning to lock onto the students' tracking devices.
"This is your only warning," Aizawa said, his cold voice cutting through the murmurs. "The timer starts the moment these gates clear. If you bicker, you lose breath. If you cheat, you're done. Ready your stances."
The massive security gates began to slide open, revealing the long, sun-baked city asphalt stretching out into the horizon. Forty-one pairs of sneakers gripped the ground, every student tensing their muscles, waiting for the signal to plunge into the worst day of their semester.
Bakugo’s boots were practically burning holes into the pavement. His shoulders were tense, his eyes narrowed into a lethal glare at the open road. Small, impatient sparks snapped from his palms.
"Hey, Bakugo!" Kaminari whispered loudly, carefully leaning forward from the second row while keeping a safe distance. "Since you're at the front... if you see a vending machine around kilometer ten, can you blast a sports drink over to me? I'll pay you back, I swear."
Bakugo’s head snapped back so fast his neck popped. "Are you completely brain-dead, Sparky?!" he roared, his face contorting into pure rage. "I’m not your damn delivery boy! If you faint from dehydration, I’m stepping right over your pathetic body and using you as a doormat!"
"Come on, Bakugo, that’s not very heroic," Kirishima chuckled, completely unfazed by the outburst as he stretched his arms overhead. "A true leader carries his team!"
"I don't carry extras, I bury them!" Bakugo barked, turning back to the road and dropping into a low, aggressive stance. "The only thing I'm carrying is the first-place title. If any of you losers get in my running lane, I will personally detonate the sidewalk beneath your feet!"
Right next to him, Todoroki calmly adjusted the collar of his gym uniform, completely ignoring the screaming. He looked straight ahead and said in a perfectly flat, conversational tone, "Your sweat is nitroglycerin. If you run that hard in this heat, aren't you just going to explode automatically?"
"WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME, HALF-AND-HALF?!" Bakugo screamed, his explosions getting louder as his face turned bright red. "I’LL EXPLODE YOU INTO RECONSTRUCTION!"
"Quiet at the line," Aizawa’s deadpan voice boomed over the courtyard speakers, instantly cutting through the noise. Bakugo clamped his teeth shut, letting out a sharp hiss of smoke from his nose, while Todoroki didn't even blink.
"Gates are fully open," Aizawa commanded, his finger hovering over the final buzzer. "Positions." Forty-one pairs of sneakers gripped the starting line, the bickering instantly vanishing as the brutal reality of the 100-kilometer trek locked into place,as Aizawa's hand prepared to press the air horn to start the marathon.
- Aizawa: "You're complaining about kilometer forty? That sounds like an irrational use of your lung capacity. Keep moving."
- Aizawa: "If I see anyone trying to activate a speed-enhancing Quirk, you're running the next ten kilometers with your eyes closed. Understood?"
- Aizawa: "Logical ruse or not, if any of you fail this trek, your hero licenses are going to be the absolute least of your worries."
- Vlad King: "Look at that stride, Class B! That is the immaculate form of a class that doesn't let Class A dictate the pace!"
- Vlad King: "Get your hands off that convenience store door, Monoma! Those calories are not UA-sanctioned! Back in formation!"
- Nezu: "Remember, students! True teamwork isn't born in the classroom; it's forged when your legs feel like solid lead! Enjoy the sunshine!"
- Midoriya: "Shinso, lock onto my pace! Break the distance down mentally—just focus on reaching the next traffic light, then the next one!"
- Bakugo: "Get out of my running lane, Deku! If your sweaty shoulder even brushes against mine, I'm detonating the asphalt under your feet!"
- Todoroki: "Bakugo, your sweat is literally nitroglycerin. If you keep screaming in this humidity, aren't you going to spontaneously combust?"
- Iida: "Form a perfect double-file line, everyone! We must maintain a civilized, highly synchronized velocity through the civilian sectors!"
- Uraraka: "If anyone has a spare gravity bar or a piece of candy... please. My legs feel like they weigh a thousand pounds right now."
- Kirishima: "This is what it means to be a man, Tetsutetsu! Pure grit, hot pavement, and calves that feel like they're on fire!"
- Kaminari: "Guys, I'm serious. If I pass out, please drag my body into the shade. Don't let Aizawa leave me out here to bake."
- Jiro: "Kaminari, stop whining. Your heavy breathing is completely throwing off my running rhythm, and it's physically painful to listen to."
- Tokoyami: "The blinding sun offers no sanctuary on this endless trek... Dark Shadow, stop begging for a rest, we must endure this abyss."
- Asui: "Ribbit. The humidity is actually quite nice, but if we don't find a water station soon, my skin is going to completely dry out."
- Mineta: "Why did I want to be a hero?! There are no girls out here! There's just Bakugo screaming and sweat running down my face!"
- Yaoyorozu: "I can synthesize high-calorie energy gels from my skin, but we must allocate them strictly to those on the verge of collapse."
- Aoyama: "Even soaked in sweat at kilometer sixty, my inner sparkle cannot be suppressed! ...Ouch, my stomach actually hurts immensely."
- Ashido: "Who cares about the finish line?! If we all start chanting a cadence, it'll feel like a dance routine! Come on, keep up!"
- Sero: "I could literally tape myself to a passing city bus right now and no one would ever know... Wait, is Aizawa's van right behind us?"
- Ojiro: "Using my tail to propel my stride helps balance the weight, but my lower back is going to be completely ruined tomorrow."
- Sato: "I used up all my sugar reserves in the brawl earlier. Right now, I'm running on pure, unadulterated exhaustion."
- Shoji: "I've got eyes on the tracking van three blocks back. They aren't closing the distance, but Vlad King is holding a megaphone."
- Koda: "(Points frantically at a stray dog by the sidewalk, silently signaling it to fetch water bottles from a nearby house)"
- Hagakure: "The best part about being invisible? Nobody can see how completely red and miserable my face looks right now!"
- Monoma: "Look at them panting! Class 1-A is already faltering at kilometer thirty! This is our moment to seize absolute historical dominance!"
- Kendo: "Monoma, you're literally wheezing so hard your eyes are rolling back. Save your breath before I have to carry you."
- Tetsutetsu: "My skin is turning into solid steel just from the raw friction of this pace! Increase the intensity, Class B!"
- Tokage: "Hey, if I split my legs into floating pieces, does that count as cheating, or is it just highly efficient resource management?"
- Honenuki: "If the pavement gets any hotter, I might just soften the asphalt so we can all slide along like a water park. Just kidding... mostly."
- Kuroiro: "Running in the bright midday sun is a fate worse than death... I belong in the shadows, not under this scorching ball of fire."
- Shiozaki: "I offer my prayers for our collective hamstrings. May the virtues of endurance carry us past this trials of the concrete jungle."
- Shishida: "In my human form, this pace is quite civilized. However, if I transform into a beast, I fear I might accidentally dismantle the sidewalk."
- Kaibara: "Keep your breathing steady, everyone. If you let Class A's shouting dictate your heart rate, you're going to burn out by kilometer fifty."
- Kamakiri: "Out of the way! I don't care if it's a marathon or a death match, I'm cutting through this wind resistance and taking first place!"
- Tsunotori: "One hundred kilometers?! In America, we use miles, but either way, this is an absolutely crazy amount of running!"
- Tsuburaba: "I tried creating a solid air platform to slide down the hill, but Aizawa looked at me from the van window and my wall shattered instantly."
- Komori: "If I spread damp mushroom spores on the soles of everyone's sneakers, do you think it would act like a cushioned insert?"
- Awase: "If anyone's sneakers start falling apart from the friction, let me know! I can weld the rubber back together on the fly!"
- Fukidashi: "(Shouts 'WHOOSH' to create a literal gust of wind onomatopoeia to push his classmates forward from behind)"
- Bondo: "I can use my glue to seal up Kaminari's mouth if he doesn't stop complaining about his blisters... It's getting very distracting."
- Yanagi: "This marathon feels like a march into the afterlife... My soul is slowly detaching from my physical vessel with every stride."
- Rin: "Maintain your discipline! Do not let Monoma's taunts break our synchronization. We move as a single, flawless unit."
- Shoda: "If I apply a Twin Impact to my steps, does it double my forward momentum, or just shatter my knees? Let's not find out."
- Shinso: "I didn't transfer into the hero course just to get left in the dust on day one. I'm crossing that line even if I have to crawl."
- Shinso: "Hey, Monoma. If you answer me right now, I'm going to make you carry me for the next five kilometers. Don't tempt me."
- Midoriya: "That's it, Shinso! Keep that stride rhythmic! Don't look at how far the road goes, just focus on my footsteps!"
- Bakugo: "If any of you extras drop out and make me fail this semester layout, I am going to hunt you down individually!"
- Kendo: "Class A, Class B—forget the rivalry for five minutes! We've got a villain group blocking the shopping district ahead, and the teachers aren't stepping in. Form up!"
