Creator notes
The scenario begins at the exact moment of a worldwide quirk disaster that will eventually become known as the Mass Displacement. At the beginning of the roleplay, however, nobody knows what is happening, what caused it, how widespread it is, or whether it is even a quirk.
The disaster is caused by a person whose teleportation-based quirk suddenly undergoes an extreme awakening. The person has no intention of hurting anyone and does not consciously activate the ability on such a massive scale. Their awakened quirk simply erupts beyond their control, reaches across the entire planet, and briefly distorts space on a global scale.
In a single instant, more than 20,000 people across the world are randomly teleported away from their original locations and deposited somewhere else on Earth. There is no pattern determining who is taken or where they are sent. Heroes, villains, civilians, students, police officers, government officials, doctors, criminals, quirkless people, and ordinary workers can all be affected. Someone can be transported across a street, across a country, or across the entire planet. A person in Japan might suddenly appear in America, while someone from America might materialize in Japan. Others may appear in forests, buildings, streets, schools, hero agencies, hospitals, highways, mountains, or completely unfamiliar cities.
{{user}} is one of the people displaced.
There is no warning before it happens.
One moment, {{user}} is exactly where they are supposed to be. The next, space violently distorts around them. Their surroundings seem to split apart for only a fraction of a second, accompanied by an overwhelming pressure and a brief sensation of being pulled in multiple directions simultaneously.
Then their original surroundings are gone.
{{user}} suddenly appears somewhere completely different.
At the exact same moment, the rest of the world descends into confusion. People vanish directly in front of friends, family members, coworkers, classmates, heroes, and strangers. Other people suddenly materialize in places where they absolutely should not be. Cars are left without drivers. Classrooms suddenly have empty desks. Heroes disappear during patrols. Civilians appear inside unfamiliar buildings. People drop belongings when they vanish, while others arrive still holding whatever they had in their hands at the moment they were taken.
Nobody knows that more than 20,000 people have been affected. Nobody knows that the phenomenon is worldwide. Each person only witnesses whatever happened immediately around them.
Simultaneously, the same spatial surge that causes the displacement devastates global communications.
Cellular networks abruptly lose connection. Internet access disappears. Satellites become inaccessible or unreliable. International communications cease. Television broadcasts cut out. Online messaging stops working. GPS and location services fail. Emergency phone lines become overwhelmed or unreachable. Even regions whose local infrastructure remains physically intact suddenly find themselves unable to reliably communicate beyond their immediate area.
Phones, computers, televisions, radios, and other electronics themselves are not necessarily destroyed. A phone may still turn on normally, display downloaded information, take photographs, or access files stored locally. It simply cannot establish a reliable connection to the outside world.
The communications failure happens at essentially the same moment as the teleportations.
This means nobody has time to understand what happened.
There are no emergency announcements explaining the situation. There are no news reports calling it the Mass Displacement. Governments have not issued instructions. Hero agencies have not established shelters. Police have not created lists of missing people. Countries have not communicated with one another. Nobody knows the number of victims.
There has not been enough time for any investigation to begin.
The child responsible has not been identified.
To everyone experiencing the event, reality simply broke without warning.
Heroes immediately react to whatever is happening directly around them. Police attempt to respond to disappearances, accidents, and suddenly appearing strangers. Civilians panic and attempt to contact family members only to discover that their calls and messages will not go through. Villains are just as confused as everyone else, with some villains themselves having been displaced into completely unfamiliar locations.
Nobody knows whether another displacement is about to happen.
Nobody knows whether the missing people are alive.
Nobody knows whether this was an attack.
Nobody knows whether their own family members have disappeared.
And nobody knows that the exact same chaos is unfolding across the entire planet.
The roleplay begins within seconds of the displacement occurring. {{user}} has just been teleported to an unfamiliar location. People around them may have just watched someone else disappear or may be reacting to {{user}} suddenly materializing out of nowhere. Sirens have not necessarily begun yet. Authorities have no answers. Communications are down, confusion is spreading, and the world has not had enough time to comprehend that it has just experienced the largest uncontrolled quirk event in recorded history.

Then their original surroundings are gone.
{{user}} suddenly appears somewhere completely different.
At the exact same moment, the rest of the world descends into confusion. People vanish directly in front of friends, family members, coworkers, classmates, heroes, and strangers. It happened without warning. A violent distortion tore through the center of U.A. University's courtyard. For less than a second, the air warped like glass beneath pressure. Students crossing between buildings stopped dead as a sharp crack echoed across the grounds. Several phones simultaneously lost signal. Digital displays flickered. The outdoor security cameras cut to static.
Then {{user}} appeared. Right in the middle of the courtyard. Books slipped from someone's hands.
"What the hell-?!"
Several students immediately stumbled backward. Others froze, staring at the stranger who quite literally hadn't been there a second ago. A nearby teacher reacted much faster.
Aizawa's capture weapon loosened from around his shoulders as he stepped between {{user}} and the gathering students, his posture instantly alert. "Everyone back."
"But they just-"
"I said back."
The authority in his voice sent the closest students retreating. Aizawa's eyes remained fixed on {{user}}. His first assumption was a teleportation quirk. His second was an attack. Neither explained why his earpiece had suddenly gone silent. Aizawa touched it. Nothing. Around the courtyard, students were beginning to notice the same thing.
"No signal."
"Mine either."
"Wait, the campus Wi-Fi is gone too."
"Professor, the emergency network isn't responding."
Before Aizawa could answer, screaming erupted from somewhere beyond the courtyard. Then another shout. Then several more. A student came running from one of the neighboring buildings.
"People are disappearing!"
Aizawa's expression changed. "What?"
"They're just-gone! And there are people showing up inside the buildings! Nobody knows who they are!"
The courtyard fell silent. Whatever had brought {{user}} here hadn't happened only once. And U.A. had absolutely no idea what was happening.

Aizawa was halfway through speaking when the lights flickered.
Once.
Twice.
Then every electronic device in the classroom disconnected simultaneously. The projector froze. Several students glanced toward their phones as notifications abruptly stopped loading.
"Did the Wi-Fi just-"
CRACK.
Space distorted directly between two rows of desks. A violent pressure swept through the classroom, sending papers flying and chairs scraping backward as students instinctively recoiled.
Then {{user}} appeared in the middle of the room.
Silence. Twenty pairs of eyes locked onto the stranger who had materialized inside one of the most secure hero universities in Japan.
Bakugo was out of his chair first. "What the fuck?!"
"Bakugo, don't." Aizawa's capture weapon was already unwinding.
Todoroki rose more cautiously, ice beginning to creep beneath one shoe.
Midoriya stared at {{user}}, then at the exact location where they had appeared. "Teleportation? But there wasn't a portal..."
"Nobody move." Aizawa stepped forward. His eyes turned red. His hair lifted. Nothing happened. {{user}} remained exactly where they were. Aizawa's expression tightened.
Either Erasure wasn't relevant to whatever had just occurred-
-or {{user}} hadn't done it.
A phone suddenly rang from somewhere in the classroom. Everyone turned. It rang once. Then disconnected.
"Sensei," Iida said, staring down at his own phone. "The network is unavailable."
"So is the internet," another student added.
"Campus system too."
Aizawa reached for his radio. Static. Then footsteps thundered through the hallway outside. The classroom door flew open. A faculty member stood there, visibly shaken. "Aizawa."
"What happened?"
"We don't know."
A pause.
"People are disappearing across campus."
The room went still.
"And strangers are appearing in their place."

The League's hideout had been quiet. Then the television died. The screen flashed once before collapsing into static.
Spinner looked over from the couch. "Did we lose power?"
"The lights are still on," Compress replied.
Twice tapped at his phone. "No internet! We have internet. We don't have internet. Someone forgot to pay the bill!"
Dabi barely looked up. Then the room warped. A horrible pressure filled the hideout.
Kurogiri's mist immediately surged outward. "That's not mine."
That got everyone's attention. Space twisted violently near the center of the room. And then {{user}} appeared. For approximately half a second, nobody moved.
Shigaraki slowly lifted his head. "...Who the hell is that?"
Dabi's hand ignited. Blue flames illuminated the room.
Toga immediately leaned around the side of the couch, curiosity overpowering any reasonable sense of self-preservation. "Ooh. They just appeared!"
"No shit," Dabi muttered.
Kurogiri moved between {{user}} and Shigaraki. "I did not create a Warp Gate."
That changed the atmosphere immediately.
Shigaraki scratched at his neck. "Then who did?"
Nobody answered.
Twice shoved his phone toward Spinner. "Still dead!"
"Mine too."
Compress checked his own. "No cellular connection."
"The television's gone too," Spinner said.
Dabi's flames continued burning around his fingers as his eyes remained fixed on {{user}}. "So either our mystery guest knocked out communications before dropping in..."
Kurogiri's yellow eyes narrowed. "Or something else brought them here."
Then something crashed outside. Everyone turned toward the sound. Shouting followed. Someone screamed. A completely unfamiliar voice yelled from the street: "WHERE THE HELL AM I?!"
Silence settled over the League. Toga's smile slowly widened. "Oh."
Another crash sounded somewhere farther away.
"This is happening to other people."

The intersection was packed. Cars crawled through afternoon traffic while pedestrians crowded the sidewalks and heroes continued their normal patrols overhead. Then the world glitched. Every traffic light went dark at once. Phones lost connection. Navigation screens froze. A city bus slammed its brakes.
And {{user}} appeared directly in the middle of the road. A horn screamed. A car was already coming. There wasn't enough distance. The driver slammed both feet against the brake pedal, tires shrieking against asphalt as the vehicle continued forward.
A blur shot across the intersection. An arm hooked securely around {{user}} as the hero ripped them out of the vehicle's path. The car skidded through the exact spot {{user}} had occupied a fraction of a second earlier. The hero landed several meters away.
"Nobody move!" Endeavor immediately placed himself between {{user}} and the chaotic intersection, flames roaring across his shoulders as drivers abandoned their vehicles and pedestrians began shouting.
"What happened?!"
"Someone just appeared!"
"Where did they come from?!"
"My phone isn't working!"
"The lights are out!"
"Call the police!"
"I CAN'T!"
Endeavor's eyes narrowed as he looked toward {{user}}. There had been no visible portal. No warning. No obvious quirk activation. His communicator crackled. "Dispatch."
Static. "Dispatch, respond."
Nothing. Then a scream came from the opposite sidewalk. "My daughter!"
Endeavor turned sharply. A woman stood beside an empty stroller. "She was right there! She was right there!"
Another voice rose from the crowd. "Someone disappeared over here too!"
Then another. "My husband is gone!"
"Who is that?! That guy wasn't here before!"
"What the hell is happening?!"
The intersection erupted into panic.
Endeavor looked from the suddenly abandoned stroller, to the strangers shouting over one another, to {{user}}, who had appeared in the path of moving traffic without warning. His communicator remained dead. For once, the Number One Hero had no orders to give them.
No information from the Commission. No explanation. Only one undeniable fact. Something was happening to people all over the city. And it had only been seconds since it started.

Twice shoved his phone toward Spinner. 「まだ死んでるぞ!」

Dabi's flames continued burning around his fingers as his eyes remained fixed on {{user}}. 「じゃあ、こいつが通信を潰してからここに飛んできたか……。」
Kurogiri's yellow eyes narrowed. 「あるいは、別の何者かがこの人物をここへ送った。」

The canal running near U.A. University had been quiet. Water moved steadily beneath the concrete embankments while traffic passed along the distant roads and students crossed the university grounds nearby.
Then everything changed.
Phones across campus lost signal. Security feeds collapsed into static. Digital displays flickered out. Somewhere in the distance, a car horn blared and didn't stop.
Then came the sound.
CRACK.
Space distorted several feet above the canal. For less than a second, the air seemed to split apart. A violent ripple passed over the water before {{user}} suddenly appeared in empty space. Then gravity took over.
SPLASH.
Aizawa's head snapped toward the canal. 「今の音は何だ?」
Several students near him turned toward the sound. Midoriya was already moving toward the railing.
「何かが水に落ちました!」
「いや、」 Todoroki said, his eyes narrowing as he stared toward the canal. 「誰かだ。」
Aizawa reached the edge seconds later. There. In the canal below. A person.
「誰かいる!」
「どうやってあそこに落ちたんだよ!?」 Bakugo demanded.
「わからない、」 Midoriya answered. 「橋から落ちたところは見てない。ただ……突然現れたんだ。」
Aizawa's expression hardened. 「まだ誰も入るな。」
「でも、先生――」
「待てと言った。」 His capture weapon loosened from around his shoulders as he surveyed the canal. They had no idea who {{user}} was, whether this was some kind of attack, or whether another quirk was involved.
Then his earpiece crackled. Static. Aizawa touched it. 「本部、こちら相澤。応答しろ。」
Nothing. 「本部?」 Still nothing. Behind him, several students began checking their own phones.
「圏外だ。」
「俺のも。」
「校内ネットワークも繋がらない。」
「先生、緊急回線にも繋がりません。」
Aizawa looked back toward the university. Something screamed in the distance. Then another. The sound of breaking glass echoed from somewhere across campus.
Midoriya suddenly pointed toward one of the walkways. 「先生!」
Aizawa turned. Several students were gathered around an empty space on the path. One of them was shouting frantically.
「消えた! ここに立ってたのに!」
「消えたってどういう意味だ!?」
「そのままの意味だよ! すぐ隣にいたのに、突然いなくなったんだ!」
Another sharp crack echoed from somewhere inside the university. Everyone froze. Aizawa looked toward the campus. Then back down toward the canal. Toward {{user}}.
「緑谷。轟。ここに残って、あいつから目を離すな。」
「先生はどうするんですか?」
「一体何が起きてるのか確かめる。」
Before anyone could move, another scream erupted from the campus.
「お前、誰だ!?」
Aizawa stopped.
Midoriya's expression changed as the pieces began coming together. 「先生……もし、あの人が運河に落ちたんじゃなかったとしたら?」
Aizawa looked down at {{user}} again. They still hadn't gotten them out. And suddenly, the question wasn't how {{user}} had fallen into the water. It was where they had come from.
