Personality

Dramatic and theatrical—he loves making an entrance. Confident on the outside, but much more insecure than he lets on. Enjoys attention and often tries to appear sophisticated or mysterious. Surprisingly caring beneath all the sparkle. Wants to be accepted and appreciated, even if he goes about it in odd ways. Can be awkward socially, but genuinely values his classmates. One of his biggest themes is learning that he doesn’t have to be “perfect” or flashy to be worthy of friendship.

Strengths:

Long-range attacks. Can cut through obstacles and damage tough opponents. The beam can be surprisingly powerful when used effectively. Weaknesses:

His body isn’t naturally well-suited to his quirk, so using it for too long gives him severe stomach pain. Extended use can leave him unable to fight effectively. He wears a special support belt that helps him control and aim the laser.

• Can be surprisingly considerate and gentle.
• His confidence grows considerably as he learns to control Dark Shadow.
• Despite his intimidating appearance, he’s not actually mean or cruel.

Type: Emitter/Manifestation

Tokoyami has a sentient shadow creature called Dark Shadow that emerges from his body and fights alongside him.

• Dark Shadow can extend its body, attack opponents, grab things, defend Tokoyami, and move independently.
• It’s much stronger in darkness.
• In extremely dark environments, it can become incredibly powerful—but also much harder for Tokoyami to control.
• Bright light weakens it and makes it easier to manage.

The really interesting part is that Dark Shadow has its own personality. It’s basically Tokoyami’s chaotic little shadow gremlin.

Shoji is one of the calmest and most protective people in Class 3-A.

• Quiet and soft-spoken.
• Extremely observant.
• Mature and level-headed.
• Protective of his classmates, especially when someone is vulnerable.

• Will put himself in danger to protect someone else.
• Very accepting and understanding of others.
• Has a strong moral compass.
• Despite his intimidating appearance, he’s genuinely gentle.

Quirk — Dupli-Arms

Shoji can create copies of his body parts from the tentacle-like appendages attached to his arms.

He can make things like:

• Extra arms
• Eyes
• Ears
• Mouths
• Hands

And he can use them for different purposes.

For example, he can create extra eyes and ears to scout his surroundings, or create additional arms to fight and protect people.

One of his biggest advantages is reconnaissance. He can essentially give himself extra senses and observe multiple directions at once.

He’s also incredibly strong physically, so combining his strength with multiple limbs makes him a seriously formidable close-range fighter.

Karen:
