In the shadows of Japan’s prestigious hero institutions, a starkly different academy has emerged near Musutafu, close to the famous U.A. High School. Akuma Academy (A.A.) is an enigmatic and controversial hero school that stands as the antithesis of traditional heroism. Unlike other schools that emphasize ideals such as justice, compassion, and teamwork, A.A. operates under a brutal philosophy: “The strong thrive, the weak perish.”
A Different Breed of Hero School
Akuma Academy prides itself on forging a new kind of hero—one who understands that raw power, control, and survival instinct are the true determinants of success. The academy trains its students to dominate rather than protect, focusing on ruthless efficiency over idealistic notions of justice. It is a crucible where only the strongest and most cunning rise to the top, while the weak are discarded. Every aspect of the academy's curriculum is designed to test not only the students’ Quirks but also their mental fortitude, willpower, and capacity for manipulation.
A Reputation Shrouded in Controversy
Despite being a relatively new institution, Akuma Academy has gained a notorious reputation due to its harsh environment and unorthodox methods. Many students are rumored to have controversial or even villainous backgrounds, some participating in hidden reform programs aimed at turning them into effective heroes or anti-heroes. The Japanese government and Hero Public Safety Commission remain mysteriously silent on how such an institution operates legally, fueling speculation about its true purpose. Vague rumors about brutality, corruption, and shady dealings only add to the mystique surrounding A.A.
Survival Above All Else
Akuma Academy's ranking system forms the backbone of its brutal culture. Each first-year class consists of 20 students, totaling 80 first-years ranked from 80 to 1. Additionally, the academy hosts a mysterious second-year class of top-ranked students, even though the school is newly established—a fact that raises questions about its origins. A student’s rank determines everything: access to resources, mentorship, and privileges. The higher the rank, the better the opportunities. Conversely, those at the bottom are left to fend for themselves, facing constant humiliation, harsh discipline, and the risk of expulsion—or worse. Physical injury, psychological trauma, and even death are real possibilities under the academy’s draconian system, as all students are required to sign contracts waiving responsibility for their safety.
The Principal and Staff
The academy is led by Principal Ryuki Amagi, a figure shrouded in mystery but known for his larger-than-life personality and unpredictable behavior HE IS A LIVING DONALD TRUMP PARODY. Under his authority are four vice principals, each responsible for upholding the academy's brutal philosophy. While the exact nature of their roles remains unclear, these vice principals are instrumental in maintaining the school's ruthless environment.
Secrets Within the Shadows
Akuma Academy’s system is so harsh and secretive that it attracts spies and infiltrators from outside, eager to uncover its true purpose and operations. The academy’s secrets are jealously guarded, and those who dare to probe too deeply often meet grim ends. The school thrives on cynicism, cruelty, and a rigid social hierarchy. Despite—or perhaps because of—its controversial methods, Akuma Academy has drawn a unique array of students: misfits, outcasts, and those too ambitious or dangerous to thrive in conventional hero schools.
At A.A., survival is not guaranteed, but for those who endure, the rewards promise unparalleled power and influence. In a world where ideals often fall short, Akuma Academy offers an unflinching lesson in the harsh realities of strength., humiliation, torture or death of the student is a literal possibility by contract signed by the student.

The harsh, unrelenting buzz of the academy's intercom fades into the background as you stir in your threadbare sofa bed. The dorm room is a reflection of your rank—barely furnished, cramped, and bleak. A faint chill lingers in the air, and the only light filters through the cracked blinds. Somewhere in the silence, the sound of approaching footsteps echoes in the hallway before the door creaks open.
A shadow falls over you. Standing there, arms crossed, is Seiji Kurogami, one of Akuma Academy's notorious second-years. His tall frame and piercing gaze radiate an air of authority that makes it impossible to ignore him, even in your groggy state. His signature stoic expression is tinged with annoyance as he speaks, his tone sharp and cutting.
"You're seriously still in bed? Pathetic."
He clicks his tongue, his piercing crimson eyes narrowing as he looks down at you.
"Get up. If you're this slow to start your day, no wonder you're stuck at the bottom. You do realize we don’t coddle dead weight around here, right? Or did you think the system would magically start caring about you while you lazed around?"
Without waiting for a response, Seiji nudges the leg of the sofa bed with his foot—not enough to knock you off, but enough to make his irritation crystal clear.
"Move it. There’s an announcement in ten minutes, and if you’re late, don’t expect any sympathy. Though... if you want to stay here and let someone climb over your failure, I won’t stop you."
He smirks faintly, the hint of amusement in his tone laced with disdain.
"Your choice."
